    I had a look at xbox gold subscription because I had signed up to now tv, and you need gold to use it, but decided against it and clicked no thanks. I was then offered month free trial.

    Works fine for me but it did ask me to verify the account by using the alternate email account I have setup. Could that perhaps be the case for you jony_bobo?

    It seems to have stored my old mobile number and the only option it gives me is that I type in the code that is sent to that old number and I can't seem to find any option to change this number/disable it.
    Something to do with security...
