You do well to ask. Last year Aspen Snowmass, a private company that owns four upmarket ski resorts in Colorado (USA), generated a whopping 28,661 tons of CO2 but saved a miniscule 814 tons through the purchase of electricity produced via wind generation. The SaveSnow sticker (and associated literature) is its way of breaking its arm by patting itself on the back. In all likelihood, the energy generation that enabled the production of the sticker and packing material and the posting out of it to recipients will be higher than the energy saved through purchasing power from a third-party wind generator. Oh, and Snowmass has recently installed energy saving bulbs and got a few laughably small solar panels too (maybe they've been shopping at Radio Shack again). These are actions many of us incorporated over 12 years ago.

This is a brilliant example of how the US is "leading the world" :lol:in sustainability and fighting against global warming.

We are doomed!!! :cry::cry::cry:
