This week, huge billboards – paid for by donations from over 20,000 38 Degrees members – are going up across the UK. We are making sure the public knows the truth about what doctors think of David Cameron's plans

Get your free NHS poster and a pack of leaflets to spread the message

I have emailed all of my contacts with the link as well

If enough others do likewise we may get certain pig headed politicians to take note of the real message

You should watch the film Sicko by Michael Moore. That is what could happen here in Britain if we don't save the NHS.Bit by bit it would become more privatised & more like healthcare in America. We do need to do something about it.

I cant remember any other health minister that has recieved such vociferous opposition.
But there is an absolute refusal to listen

This is not democracy.

Nice work if you can get it. 50% + average pay rise for half the work you used to do, plus average £1.5M pension pot at the end. The more you get the less you want to give anything up.

Not got anywhere to display these myself, so I won't waste their resources and order them, but in full agreement with the campaign and heat added as it's raising awareness. Hopefully there won't be too many 'it's free so I'll order it. What is it anyway?' people ordering this and binning them when they realise they can't eat it - these posters and leaflets do cost money so please don't waste them!

There are many videos from speakers at the event to view. NHS workers who supposedly support the changes. Listen and make up your own mind if its true

A shameful example of putting party politics above the needs of patients ..... our NHS is just about to be trashed.

Agree completely.
I hope the libdems vote to drop the bill.
If anyone is in doubt about the way the medical profession views these reforms please watch some of the videos from the saveournhs rally.

WHAT IS 38 DEGREES?
38 Degrees is the biggest online campaigning community in the UK, with close to 1 million members. We share a desire for a more progressive, fairer, better society and come together to decide which issues we campaign on and the actions we‘ll take to help us achieve that.

Anyone can be a 38 Degrees member. We’re united by a set of shared values; to defend fairness, protect rights, promote peace, preserve the planet and deepen democracy.

38 Degrees puts power into people’s hands. We’re helping to strengthen democracy by giving 38 Degrees members a new way to be involved in politics. We want to be more than just voters and ensure our voices are heard all of the time, not just once every five years.

We are a community of people who want positive change. We are a loud and persistent knock on the door of the politicians, influencers and institutions who make the decisions that affect us all. We hold them to account and make sure they listen and respond to our calls for positive change.

38 Degrees is the angle at which an avalanche happens. Join 38 Degrees and be part of the avalanche for change. Anyone can become a member of 38 Degrees - it’s free and you can join just by signing a petition, or taking another action.

Re the LibDem conference vote (from The Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/blog/2012/mar/10/lib-dem-spring-conference-health )

4.04pm: In the comments mrkinkladze asked about the voting figures in the ballot to decide the motion for debate tomorrow morning.

Here are the figures.
First round
Justice and security green paper - 32
The Shirley Williams health motion - 246
Syria - 50
The rebel "drop the bill" health motion - 270

But the Lib Dems use STV in this ballot and the votes for the two least popular motions - the green paper and Syria - were redistributed. After that, the Shirley Williams motion won.

The Shirley Williams health motion - 309
The rebel "drop the bill" health motion - 280

If this had been a first past the post election, the rebels would have won.

The intro quoted in this Ben Goldacre article is a good summing up of how messed up this legislation is:

The thing that worries me is that the politicians have already started to say things such as free at the point of need.

That just leads me to consider that its a similar phrase used with the students. But they are having to take out huge loans now.

It really annoys me that the BBC (supposedly impartial), is either not reporting NHS news events or is suggesting that the bill has been passed with each of their reports.
At the moment there is still a chance that the LibDems could vote down the Shirley Williams motion. I, and many others, are hoping for that.
Dear old Shirl is proving to be as much of a turncoat as Nick. Cant be trusted at all

What's really messed up about this is that it's near impossible that the coalition leaders actually believe their own arguments. It's quite clear that this is a sell-off. It was never about arguments, only about whether they could be stopped or not. They know that we know this. Horrible.

Should be rebadged the great NHS sell off.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined something of this scale

Nothing on the news again this morning. It would be easy for the general public to think this was a fuss about nothing.
So here are some links from a variety of sources so people might become aware how much is not being reported or is being misreported.
Its your NHS that is being threatened. Spread the word. Tweet, phone, email, shout, scream..... Tell people we cannot lose the NHS.

This is a deal site, not a politics site.
#37
Do this somewhere else, what the hell are you lot on here for.
Dont care for any politics but from what I see this is just point scoring from the crappy politicians (and naive socialist/wanna be anachists) who got us into this mess in the first place and just want to get back into power/higher wage/better pension plan and jump onto any bandwagon they think will give them a 1% gain in some crappy poll THAT YOU CANT DO SOD ALL WITH TILL NEXT ELECTION IN 4 YEARS TIME. Grow up get on with your life and put some proper deals on here. AND HOPE THEY PRIVATISE THE LOT cos nationalisation works so much better!!!
Oh Aye whilst on a bleeding rant got 2 daughters going to University and damm right they should pay WHEN and IF and only IF they get A BETTER JOB. You bunch of lazy "please let someone else pay for my education, health, drinking money, pot smoking" spongers.

Point of this site is to safe money make deals not some crap like this.

Gunna order as many posters as I can and use to wipe my Ar** and waste the money. Hell sound like a true politician now.

Saying this isn't democracy, hilarious, people voted for the Conservatives hence why they're now in Government. If you voted Liberal you're daft anyway - look where Clegg's priorities are, not with the poor people but instead with constitutional reform to keep himself in a job such as an Elected Lords and AV Referendum.

I don't understand why people think frontline doctors (with medical qualifications) running the NHS instead of uneducated civil servants (that spend longer striking or on their breaks than they do actually working) running the NHS from Whitehall is a bad idea. You talk about the vested interest of politicians in Private Healthcare, but noone has mentioned the vested interest of the doctors, in that they don't want to do anymore work (they are also funded by the taxpayer and have massive salaries and pensions?). To me it's obvious, if a private company can do it cheaper and better then why not let them? The ambulances up here are run by a private company, still an excellent service and provides a massive saving - meaning that they can spend extra money on essential things such as cancer drugs.
