  Is there a poss virus here.
  Norton prevented this download for me? saying temporary "freevideoperformer [1].exe ( Trojan.ADH.2 )" removed.

  I don't think there is a virus issue here - I have downloaded it and it seems fine - you could always run an online scan such as "trendmicro housecall":

  Converted a few things which worked fine but not having any joy putting anything onto DVD.

  I'm having a problem with this. I'm trying to copy some films from youtube to avi I tried this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcjBIkS-QC4 and seemed to be going ok and it only converted about 22 minutes of an 83 minutes movie. I tried with another film and it only managed 16 minutes of 95!
  
  Can't see anything obvious in the settings to suggest why it aborts it. The output quality is fine, though not much use if it misses 80% of the film.
