I downloaded this a while ago through advice of a friend. Barely received any surveys, so uninstalled. I reinstalled a few months ago, when I saw he had over £6 credit from it followed by the words "I told you so". I redownloaded it, and in the last few months my balance has indeed accumulated slowly. I've probably received around £3, but this covers the cost of all the 10p apps on Google Play that appear (therefore not costing me a penny).

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I feel that ever since I started answering the questions honestly I get more credit. For one survey I received 47p, but I have received credit as low as 9p for the smaller surveys, or surveys where I didn't have an answer to the first question. (for example, it asked me if I'd visited a museum lately, but I was actually in the KFC nearby).

Answer the questions honestly, especially at first. The first questions you receive will seem so stupid, but its just testing if you are human. I can't remember if I got credit for the first questions (I don't think I did).

There was an old deal posted with everybody cold voting because they weren't getting responses immediately. You need to have this app installed, and just LEAVE IT INSTALLED on your phone. It will alert you when a survey becomes available, and a drag down menu with a Star icon will appear. It usually asks about locations you've visited a fortnight or so ago, mainly for feedback on your experience there.

If you answer them honestly and give constructive feedback, they come back to you with more questions. You DONT need navigation turned on, it somehow does it from data and wifi access points also.

I know its not a "deal" but there isn't really a section for this kind of thing. I think an opportunity for free appstore credit should be logged on here with more information. I'm not alone, but you need to be patient. It only takes an online Google Search/browse on Reddit to realise there are plenty of users with the same experience, so this does actually work if you do it properly.

EDIT: Here is a source for information https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/22hmq3/google_opinion_rewards_just_made_me_prove_im_human/

If this miraculously makes it to 100 degrees at least more people will be aware. If you don't know about this please vote hot, as there will unfortunately be cold votes from people that already know about it.

I haven't had a survey since September and I always answered questions honestly, using constructive feedback where comments were required.

I do wonder if the fact that I have Location History turned off to save power might have anything to do with it though.

Have since been using Nectar Canvass, which has been generally fine.

Been on this since 2015 and accumulated over 25 pounds... definitely worth having on your phone.

It is indeed old news, but the last time this was posted it recieved -330degrees in cold votes (so no recognition). This is for the people that didn't realise this worked, or didn't have location services turned on/didn't wait long enough etc. Hopefully, there will be no harm in telling people about free credit.

I have noticed that if you put in detailed answers you get more. My last few surveys were 20-50p each, but I recieved one every week for the last 4 weeks. I know were talking PENCE, but its paid for my Google Play apps. £20 is amazing, did you do anything special?

EDIT: As in did you visit anywhere special that required a review?

I've enabled for location - then it prompts 'have you visited....' with a list of locations
It even pays you if you haven't been to any of them :)

Totally agreed
But it's not a deal. Feel good about letting people know, and worry less about what the temperature gets to.
If you get only one hot vote, you've done a service.

Ah fair enough. I get lower payouts (from 9-13pish) usually when I say I haven't visited any of them. I knew I should of said I went to that museum....

I keep location on and any time I visit tesco, homebase or argos I get a survey later on that day. I joined April last year and so far earned £21.44

Had this app since April 2015, earned about £50

Yeap, you'll need to keep location services on to get the most out of this. Unfortunately this also means a slight hit to your battery life.

To get more surveys the only way besides being honest is to turn on location history in Google settings. This is more intrusive than just allowing Google or 3rd party apps to access your current location as it allows them to keep a record of where you are, whenever they like and they will keep this list in their records and all it will do is give more and more info to Google about your private life. I have location on but find location history a step too far. I love Google but I don't want them knowing my every movement from when I'm in the bathroom to what time I leave for work and where I go for lunch. My dad is less wary than me and in the space of 6 months has earned around £60, getting 2 or 3 surveys per day - he travels a lot in his job which is what advertisers are interested in. I still haven't done too badly and have earned around £20 in the same time period with location history turned off. I buy a fair amount of apps, music and movies from Google outside of the rewards I get and think this could be a a factor too. A spare Google account I have on another phone which is never used to buy anything gets no surveys at all.

Earned about £45 between me and my wife. I like them.

i found out about this on this site few years back and am very grateful for it.

sometimes the questions come daily. then it may go dark for a few weeks. sometimes it is simple questions and sometime multipart. never difficult. recently i noticed a lot of checking on your honesty questions, asking if i have visited sites that don't really exist. but, as op says, just be honest and nothing to worry about. am currently averaging about £2.50pm. money from google isn't bad.

voted hot for the newbies who didn't know.

I think this is why it never worked for me originally, thanks for the comment. :)

Have this on both my phone and tablet. Tablet never leaves the house but all my surveys seem to through it. Everything's on on my phone that should be. Very odd. Still, good little earner nonetheless.

This app used to be a great app but since i don't own a smartphone or have a device i'd take out with me everywhere i go to have location history on the surveys have virtually dried up i think the last one i had was a few months ago despite of that it's a nice way to get a bit of play credit if you do get surveys

I was similar to you in the fact that I had my location off to keep my battery usage down, now I have a s7 edge, the battery is amazing and I keep my location on, now i must get sent a survey every 10 or so days now

In the last few months, think I've earned around £10 on there - living in a city helps, so does turning on location because itknows if you've been to a certain shop and asks for your opinions of the shop.

I have earned about £40 in just over a year with rewards ranging from 6p to 60p - a great little app which only takes up a matter of seconds of one's time.

Credit expires after 12 months so it would be pretty tricky for that to occur.

I have received over £61 on one account since 2014 on one account. my phone now allows multiple accounts with different gmail address so I tried adding another one on there recently and £1.74 and most are the same places lol.

Agreed. Have more than one Gmail account on your phone and install the Rewards app on your phone and a tablet but linked to the different email addresses - you should get surveys on every device/account. I've had £53 on one £39 on the other.

I've had over £50 on it since end of january last year and spend it mainly on music. I keep GPS location turned on. I also use an email account which is worthless to me - only used on gmail on that particular phone. I do spend a lot of time shopping for food and never answer dishonestly although some questions I've answered with "prefer not to say"
1 Like #32
I managed to rack up over £50 on mine, too - then the surveys just stopped - nothing since the end of September last year. As far as I know I was always honest with my responses, so it's a bit of a mystery why they stopped.

That's exactly it. You need to have it switched on to get any surveys. I switched it off a few months ago when I realised just how savagely it saps my battery. I've probably had maybe one or two surveys since then, prior to that having made about £15 in a year.

Difficult trade-off. Will probably end up turning it back on when my credit runs out!

£44.54 earned since 18/Sep/15 for me, location turned off. As you say, pays for all those cheap 'must-have' apps :p Heat from me.

I've earned over £10 in the last 4 months - the trick seems to be to goto a lot of shops and retail parks (and have GPS enabled on your phone - obviously)

Every time I do that I get at least 1 - sometimes more - surveys on my 'experience'. No idea what use it is as I'm not asked for anything other than a star rating but I get 6-12p for answering that.

Off the back of every few of those you get other questionaires which offer more cash again - I'm sure you could answer 'creatively' to make more money but being 100% honest I've made enough to fuel a bit of DLC/inApp fun for no real money.
