Life is a bit too short to be reading War and Peace and Don Quiote. I have and it didnt make me any wiser/happier.

Still, I was stuck in a remote aiport once and the only reading materials I could find was a copy of "Inferno" by Dan Brown.

I would have killed for any of the above 50, so its horses for courses

That's a good point, and can't argue for free. I'll search out the books I'm interested in and bookmark the first pages. Need to keep the list handy for years to come, so I know what I've bought ... ;-)

On further investigation, it seems the table of contents works fine on my Kindle Paperwhite (using the 'go to' feature), but does not appear on my Kindle for iPad app. Hope this clarification helps if you were thinking of getting this.
