The following passage has been written to assist people appreciate the dilemmas after having suffered a head-injured. There is a need for everyone to understand and appreciate the abilities and from this the needs of people in such an unfortunate position. Life situations do develop, and people need to facilitate this change to assist their forward movement. Recovery involves understanding, will and persistence. Head-injured people need to feel a forward movement in their lives to assist their feeling of achievement. To enable this, please consider their resources available, while congratulating their achievements.

Thanks OP, my husband suffered a severe head trauma while we were on holiday in Spain 6 weeks ago and the NHS seem to think that it doesn't matter because it happened abroad. He doesn't see a consultant for another 2 weeks so reading about other people's experiences when going through something similar is a huge lifeline for us.
