Must be installed today.
After installation should you wish to re-install it at a later date I suggest that you take a note of the registration code which you will find in the register here
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\teorex\Inpaint\Registration\

Looked at their example on http://www.theinpaint.com/, removing the building. The results aren't very good. The Gimp is always free (not just for today), updated regularly, works on Windows, Mac, Linux and produces better output than the example on the inpaint site.

The Gimp is more comprable to photoshop than this tool. Having investigated many apps from GOTD I've noted several serious security flaws and quality issues (distributing ancient versions of libraries etc).

Forgot about this, still this program is very simple and quick, good if you have no clue about photo editing

True, but if even the simple example (on their website) looks pretty poor IMHO. And if you're showing off your product on the first page of your website, you'd want to show it at its best.

If people want to get decent results from photo editing investing a little time learning the basics (Photoshop, Gimp) is really is well worth the effort. Gimp (and Photoshop) have active communities for help and support, as well as many tutorials sites online.

As you say, it depends what you're looking for. At least gimp will be upgraded with new features while remaining free :)

GOTD are 'established' here for some reason. I've investigated and commened on several of their 'offers'. See this post for a further discussion on the topic.

Thanks, and I agree :)

I recall downloading a couple of their "freebies" posted on here (to my second PC), and Kaspersky had a fit with lots of warnings about attempts to connect to a large number of sites. There's legitimate reason whatsoever for the install process to do that, particularly without stating what it is doing.

I'd bet money that this freebie will do the same.

Anyway, if someone's desperate enough for the software to risk their PC security, good luck to them. Personally I think this vendor should be banned on here so long as they continue this practise.
