Completely free full 16 track album, if you like your metal

I had never heard of these but downloaded from a link on the Classic Rock Mag website, listened to the 1st 3 tracks which blew me away so ordered the CD (£7.49 inc postage). They have just reformed and are playing a few festivals (just been added to Sonisphere)

From the Classic Rock Mag website:

Often regarded as one of the finest of all British prog metal bands, earthtone9 are getting back together to do a gig later this year. To whet everyones appetite, theyre offing no fewer than 16 Tracks Of The Day! Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.

For five years from 1997, earthtone9 were considered to be among the most eccentric and individual of all bands of their time. Ignoring trends, they came up with three albums and two EPs, full of music that was as brutal as it was experimental, and as melodic as it was dissonant.

Their pioneering spirit saw them compared to Helmet, Faith No More, Tool and Kyuss. Yet throughout the Nottingham band steadfastly refused to be typecast or tied down. Now, theyre back to play the Damnation Festival at Leeds University on November 6. Its a reunion for vocalist Karl Middleton, guitarists Joe Roberts and Owen Packard, bassist Dave Anderson and drummer Simon Hutchby.

It's free, give it a go

Also includes a digital booklet (PDF) and wallpapers of the rather good artwork
