The Apple "deals" and "freebies" from the keynote, I'm using an ipad to type so not flaming, but as ios7 isn't out yet you can't actually get these apps free atm..

It's was a few weeks ago, it's more likely going to be the 18th in conjunction with the new iOS.

It was announced to be free with all new iOS devices, it's not clear if current devices will get it.

Tim Cook said on stage "new iOS devices" today, how is a beta screen shot from July evidence against that?

iMovie is a great app, well worth a download when it goes free. If you have kids, it's especially good as you can create trailers using your own footage, they have pirate/super hero type themes etc. Very simple to use, but could do with some new themes though. Strange, I always thought they'd do it as an in-app purchase, Apple missing a trick for a change!

    Oh, and voted hot!

I doubt I would use any of these apps on my phone, maybe my pad but will get bored of them, if it only comes with new devices then it is not enough to make me upgrade from an iphone 4 to a 5s or c, I have an ipad 1 so half these apps do not run and no ios 7 update and i'm looking to upgrade but waiting for the 5 as no point buying a 4 now.

Its answered under the iPhone page on the website now.

    6. iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote, Pages and Numbers are free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7–compatible devices activated after 1 September 2013. See http://www.apple.com/uk/ios/whats-new/ for iOS 7–compatible devices. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.

Lets hope they have a change of heart and allow all ios7 devices (I doubt it).

These apps are not FREE on the App Store at the minute. Anyone have proof these are free on the 28th

If you re set an old device that can run iOS 7 do you think it will give you the option. Eg iPhone 4S etc

I doubt it because it has already been activated

They are available for free when buying either the new budget iPhone 5c or the new high end iPhone 5s, available late September. There will be an option on these phones to download all of these apps for free by just clicking OK, on the phone.
I saw the presentation video on the Apple website

Any IOS 7 supported device activated after September 1 for the first time are eligible.
