Logitech Touch Mouse App For iTouch & iPhone [FREE]

Logitech has released what I would say is one of the coolest and EASIEST apps I have ever used. The app is called Touch Mouse and it turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a wireless trackpad (mouse) and keyboard for your computer!

The application works over WiFi, so users can essentially control their Mac or PC from anywhere within range of their WiFi network. The app even includes a keyboard and text is displayed on the screen of the iPhone or iPod Touch so users can see what they are typing.

Keyboard aside, the app allows users to use two-finger scrolling, two or three buttons for clicking, and portrait and landscape modes. Check out the feature list below:

Features
- Multi-touch trackpad with option for two or three buttons
- Two-finger scrolling
- Keyboard with modifier keys
- On-screen text display while typing
- Show or hide the keyboard at any time
- Trackpad and keyboard are available in landscape and portrait modes

The Requirements

An iPhone or iPod Touch
Mac OS X 10.4 or higher or Windows XP or higher
A common WiFi network
The Touch Mouse Server software

There doesn't seem to be any security between the ipod and the computer, other wifi device remotes like for itunes requires a passcode. this asks for nothing.
#3
I'm using it too type this.

Quite good application, for free.
#4
i like it mate! heat from me!
#5
Thanks for the heat, great little app.

Just introduced it too the rest of my family (iphone owners) ;)

app called Gmote on Androids does the same (but was developed long ago... one of my first apps :) ), but with pw's for security.. maybe thats on Iphone already but not known to you guys yet? maybe it might be called Imote? I dunno.. HTH?
#9
There is another one, but it's a paid app.

This is a free app, and for free it's a great app to have :)

#15
The application "Air Mouse" is much more mature and feature packed than this

For free though this basic functionality is HOT.
#16

#20
will this work on ps3?

Less bother to use VNC imho

And that is relevant how?

If you wanted to drive one PC with another, then yes, use VNC.
The point of this is that you can control a PC with your Touch or iPhone
#22
As per roars above, anyone know if this works with PS3? I suspect not. That being the case, is there one (paid for?) that will?

i'm fed up tapping out messages on my controller!
#23
Excellent app thanks. Heat added

:-D you're showing your ignorance my friend.

http://mochasoft.dk/iphone_vnc.htm

I use Mocha VNC Lite all the time to control my Mac with my Touch from the other room. No server install required with the Mac.

Just buy a cheap keyboard with a USB connector. That's what my son uses rather than struggling with the PS3 controller.....

Hello, Im using iPhone app (TouchMouse) to connect to my PC(Windows 7) with a NETGEAR model: DG834G

But unfortunately, it appears to be fail.
I can view my PC name at the server list but, while it was connecting it show up "Remote host is unreachable"

Im wondering would it be the setting problem on the router?
Cause i had change the remote setting to "Allow connection from computers running any version of remote desktop"

I cant use any VNC Apps either, Mocha VNC, Jaddu, Jumi etc.

Anyone can help?
