I just saw this and thought to post it. I am not sure how useful it will be.

I ASSUME because you can watch free content on the Lovefilm player, therefore it must be that as soon as you create an account, without neccessarily paying for it, you would be allowed access to the new free content. However, I am not positive...if anyone else has any further information feel free to add to it.

LONDON - Lovefilm, the DVD rental brand, is to launch the world's largest digital film promotion, allowing thousands of existing and new customers to watch selected titles free online for a month during the World Cup.

The 'Extra Time' promotion starts on 11 June and is set to take advantage of those viewers that want to avoid some or all of the programming from the Fifa World Cup in South Africa.


'Extra Time' will be supported by a multi-million pound advertising campaign and will include content from studios including Paramount, Dreamworks and Momentum. It will be available to all subscribers to Lovefilm via the Lovefilm Player accessible at www.lovefilm.com

Premieres during the 'Extra Time' season will include Swedish vampire chiller 'Let The Right One In'.
