Not to put a dampener on any would-be gardners, but be aware that mint grows like anything - the roots spread underground, so always plant mint in pots or self-contained beds.

I think you can get these if you don't belong to a school, but the mint seeds are for a competition for 7 to 14 year olds. By taking the seeds for your own mint fetish, you're taking away the opportunity for a small kid to participate. On the flip side, if you have kids aged 7-14 who'd like to "make a mint" then it might be worth a look.

These are clearly meant for kids at schools/clubs. Let's not deprive them of that, buy your own seeds if you want them, they're only 80p or so a pack! And vote this deal cold.

Vote it cold, what for?

I applied for my daughter, when/if it comes she can take it in for her class to do.

Which is fine, and I hope she gets her seeds! But sadly I doubt most people are applying for kids :( Maybe I'm being too cynical...

i have applied for some as i feel it would be a good opportunity for my kids to learn how to grow thier mint and make an enterprise from it which is the aim of the competition, any finds they profit from the mint they make i will give to a charitable fund. i think this is a grat way for kids to learn how and where money comes form as far to many of them beleive it really does grow on trees!!!

Might not get them, but worth a try!
