Mobyko offers a simple and free way to safely store everything on your mobile phone online and access it from anywhere in the world 24/7. Data is stored on the website and you can access it at anytime. You can even use the Mobyko website to text everyone in your address book to let them know if your mobile has been lost or stolen. Whats more you can also save your mobile pictures, videos and precious text messages online.

I know I have lost contacts in the past and it is very frustrating. I've just tried this new service and it seems to work.

The service although free does have a premium option which gives you 10 video and art downloads, a personalised daily news service, extra storage for all your personal pictures, videos and texts and access to a customer helpline should you have any difficulties with the service.

The best thing is that you can set up a free premium account by using the code metro2!

Hi,

Sorry if this is already on. No time to read whole section.

I bought a large 150g bar of Nestle's Double Cream Choc and it has a try me free offer on it. Send receipt back before 31/07/05

Also whilst stocks last Tesco's are doing buy one get one free so basically 2 bars for 1.14. With Try Me Free both are FREE!!!

BOGOF includes large bars of Aero's as well.

The only prob I can see is to buy one get one free from Tesco's, they would both have to be on the same receipt..
the Nestles offer might be for one only per transaction...

otherwise you could buy them all, everywhere, get a refund & resell them... Now thats an idea...

didnt have any of the 'Try Me Free' choc's in either of the 2 Tesco's I visited today...

One of the 2 branches I visited is their main/head one in the UK too. "Tesco's Extra".

Has this one already been & gone.

Still see them around. Think there were some in Morrissons.

Sounds like old stock now...

Not sure if I fancy a 3rd party knowing all my contact list & phone numbers............

I was too, but this is from their T&C's:

"safe as houses

Mobyko is all about keeping your private information safe so your personal information will not be transferred to any third party without your consent except:
as required by law
if you're a prize winner (we need to get your prize to you!)
if that party is our employee or supplier (like a communications agency) or delivers Mobyko products or information to you on our behalf - in which case they will be bound by our privacy rules and will not share this information with anyone or use it for any other purpose
if you have ticked the box 'I want to be sent selected Mobyko partner communications' in which case your details will be shared with the parties responsible for providing the communication

We may use your personal data in order to analyse our customer base and statistical information may be shared with third parties - but we'll keep it anonymous.

We will never rent or sell our customer lists to any other organisation or individual. Customer lists may be used to process customer information and research customer's needs and preferences.

You should be aware that if our website contains links to other websites then these sites may have different privacy and security policies. We don't have any control over them and take no responsibility for information given by non-Mobyko sites."

Also,

"We'll only use your data when you have given us permission to do so e.g. by ticking the box in a competition or ticking the' I would like to get the latest news and offers from Mobyko', 'I want to hear about Mobyko promotions via sms' or 'I want to be sent selected Mobyko partner communications.' box(es) when you sign up or later choose to receive rss feeds or podcasts. But remember if you're registering specifically to hear from us, we'll take this as your consent, so we won't ask you to tick 'yes' or 'no'."

I didn't tick any of these boxes.

I registered by clicking the premium link but it never prompted me for the code or payment details so I guess it actually signed me up for the basic account. Think the registration process needs a bit of work.

Spoke to a very helpful operator on their live chat feature who sorted it all out for me. The service looks fantastic and I've already sync'd my phone book on my Panasonic VS6 (it does work, it's just not listed as supported).
#17
When you login. Where it displays your phone details and last sync details it should say 'my mobile premium' if you successfully registered for the premium service.

I stuck the code in and then pressed the premium button!
#18
Yep, it also should give you 100 (or 110) text messages to send too which will come in handy.
#19
I saw that - but what wasn't clear is whether it is 100 text messages per month or per year?

If you paid £24.99 for the premium service 100 text messages per year seems a bit mean!

Nice, rep and heat left, thank you!

Neat concept, but afraid i am already hung on to Zyb. The latest newletter from zyb guys says that they will offer SMS backup too! and that just changed my mind for good. The phone support for zyb is far better as i can see. Though mobyko does have the girlish pink all over. Hey ladies march on :)
#22
Thanks for the tip on Zyb, much nice interface. Mobyko is so slow, really needs some tuning and a redesign.
#23
Thanks jeromek - that does seem good. And as you said, SMS backup is what I really would like!

Rep added! :)
