Found this great little app last night. It's called Moodio and it brings thousands of free internet radio stations live to your mobile phone.
It's a bit similar to the Wunder Radio app for the iPhone but imo seems better. Firstly it's free, whereas Wunder Radio costs £6.99, and secondly the stations are added by the members themselves so if you can't find your local radio station - just add it yourself!
Virtually any station that streams online is available through Moodio. Anything from local to national, from the BBC to talkSPORT and Virgin, to Hardcore Belgian Trance and other worldwide stations! It's basically ideal for listening to DAB stations when out and about.
According to their site almost every modern phone with internet and multimedia capabilities should be able to receive radio through Moodio. What you basically need is a phone that supports 3GPP/3GPP2-streaming and understands the AACPlus-codec. This includes popular phones from manufacturers like BlackBerry, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, etc. Apple's (non-3GPP-compatible) iPhone is also supported.
If your phone has WAP but you're not sure whether it is compatible or not then why not simply give it a try!
I'm using a Nokia 5800 and it works by streaming the audio through the phone's internal Real Player.
Needs to be used with an unlimited data allowance or wifi of course.
