Easiest thing to do is get them emailed to you from HotUKDeals or catch them from our RSS.

To get them emailed to you, select "SeeFilmFirst" under merchants on the left hand column at the below link and click on the add button. Then, above that tick the "Email me the deal alerts" box and hit "Save"... also worth adding the "Momentum Pictures" merchant.

I monitor a number of RSS feeds, but not specifically this Merchant, so I will from now on.

Thanks :)

Glad you enjoyed it :)

I remember the first time we took my cousin to the cinema - he asked if he could take the video (yes it was THAT long ago!) home so his brother could see it! :) made us all smile!

Yeah that happens all the time annoying for people who could have made it.
#33
Saw the film in Covent Garden, was great!
Very funny for both kids and adults, plus I thought the way the film was presented was unique.

Place was kind of full but the row I sat in and the row in front was near empty...
#34
great film..... even though my little lad (3) seemed to get slightly fed up near the end.....
#35
yeah , the printworks manchester was just over half full too , either people are getting these free tickets and not using them or they arent releasing all the seats ...

good film tho .. thumbs up from me !!

People take the tickets and then cant be bothered turning up. A lot of people will get tickets for all of the previews (each film, one cinema) and then just decide afterwards whether they want to go (either whether they want to see the film, or whether they can make the date/time)

I couldn't go but gave the tickets to the Mother in Law along with my drivers licence (just in case) and she got in no problem.

The Odeon at Leicester kept almost 100 of us waiting until 10:20 to tell us that they didn't actaully have the film, it "hadn't been released by the distributor".
More likely they forgot they were supposed to be showing it and messed up. One unhappy 6 year old!!!

And what great customer service... NOT.

I hope you got free tickets for a screening of your choice on that day, or for a future screening of the movie you wanted to see when they do get it from the distributor.

It's possible that they had not received it, but keeping you waiting rather than informing you when you arrived was very poor :(

Were there many people disappointed? These sorts of demonstrations of how not to handle such a situation usually mean that people vote with their feet the next time a cinema visit is required.

I would write to the cinema's general manager & relay the story, asking to be informed when the movie will be available to see. I would also say that the trip to the cinema was a treat for your six year-old's birthday & they were extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

You have nothing to lose but your time & a stamp (or hand-deliver if you wish), but perhaps a gain of a free set of tickets (or something else).

If the manager does not offer anything, then this would be a further demonstration of where not to go the next time.

Good luck.

BFN,

fp.
