More really for information rather than a deal, so maybe better in Misc.

Enjoy the NY

As it is every year!

Not a deal...just info
#3
should prob be in freebies not misc, as its something for. but only if you live in that area. So if you live there this could save you a few £'s.

I agree not a deal needs to be moved to freebies

ppl over here are quick to judge what is a deal and what is not a deal. Only last week I submitted a deal for free congestion charge in central london from 25th dec - 1st jan 09 and ppl were moaning that it was not a deal. Well excuse me, if it saves me and everyone else £8 per day... I call that a deal.

But that isn't a 'deal'! It's a freebie! Yes definately belongs on this site because as you said, it saves people £8 a day (ouch!!!) but belongs in the freebie section - like this post!!

Don't forget... what they fail to tell you about the "free" travel, is that the police close a lot of the stations in the popular areas to avoid overcrowding. So it's only free if you can actually get on!!!

Two tips: Don't get stranded on the other side of the river (South Bank) once the fireworks have started, as they shut most of the bridges for several hours so it can be extremely difficult to get back over to the other side if that's where you need to go later! Also, if you need a tube, try and suss out a station that's going to remain open and is away from the main hustle and bustle so unlikely get cordoned off by the police.
