This is older version but it is working with win 7, 8, 8.1... so no problem at all, and it is for life serial...
Enjoy!

Nothing is wrong, but some software is faster, better...
Feel free to read all about comparison, here.

Do not use on SSD's btw, it'll knacker them up.

Info:
O&O Defrag 17
Manufacturer-independent optimization for SSDs: O&O Defrag makes it possible to optimize SSD drives through TRIM commands regardless of their manufacturer even under Windows XP and Vista. Access times for SSDs are sped up, and early wear and tear effects are prevented.

O&O Defrag 18
O&O Defrag recognizes SSDs and will never subject them to an automatic defragmentation, regardless of the settings. The automatic TRIM command for SSDs will be prevented if automatic optimization is disabled by the user. Consequently, automatic optimization should be enabled all the time

If you are advanced user you will know what you do and if you are not it is better to not to install this just because you really don`t need this software.

Thanks RandomUsername for pointing this out! ;)

Fair enough.... I will give it a go, see how it goes. It is running now. I have had the email but nowhere is there a serial number to enter. (am on a 30 day trial or buy it seems)

I thought it was going to be reasonably quick. I am only using 250gb of 500gb drive. 10% defragmented........ remaining time to finish 10 hours and 8 minutes

Taking the promotional bulls*t from the creators of the software should never be used as a comparison report.

Far better to research any software by independent analysis based on actual everyday usage.

Try here for detailed comparison of defragmenting software

And for several years, prior to replacing my HD with an SSD, I used MyDefrag (System Disk Monthly) (free of course) and reaped the benefits. That said any defragmenting software will increase longevity and speed of a HD

Never defrag a SSD.
