If you don't need it why comment... I noticed the "Grey and Chrome Tidy Rail with Hang Rail" offer from Argos, I dont need one, maybe I should post a message on the thread telling everyone that.:-D

I have received several PDFs that have needed a password sounds like a useful download.

Is it just me or does this tool sound a bit dodgy. Why would anyone need to use such a tool on their own documents unless they are very forgetful with their passwords. Also if you had to use it on a 3rd party document...I'd question if that file was actually intended for your eyes. And if it we're the sender would have provided the password anyhow.

So again I'm very dubious about its uses.

You would be surprised at the number of documents that have been password protected without thought. I've applied for several jobs in the last few year where the application form was password protected to prevent printing or editing. At one interview, I was told that I was the only candidate who, in the words of the interviewer, "had bothered to fill in the application form". He was surprised to discover that the published form had been restricted to limit it to read only.

My son was given some homework for the holidays in the form of PDF documents, all where password protected ,but none of the students where given the password, i surmised that it was a test of resourcefulness but it was just a forgetful teacher, i used a 30day trial of a password cracker to open them he was the only one to complete the task.

i have installed in on my 32bit win7 and does not seem woking. I cannot even register this for start. Then if i try to use it as unregistered, it is doing nothing.

Justed emailed the support team! hope to get this working.

if this works, is a useful tool for me.

I tried this tool, it works - but its completely useless, as it doesn't do what most of us are expecting it to do. The common understanding after reading the tool description is that it can 'crack' passwords for password protected pdf files, but this is NOT what it does.

It can simply make password protected pdf files unprotected, but for that you actually need to KNOW the password and enter it when the tool prompts you to. Otherwise the tool shows the status "Skipped".

The ability to crack password could have been useful for me, as I keep on getting credit card statements (password protected pdfs) in my email account every month from my home country even though I don't have any credit cards from there. Just wanted to check the name on the statement, but I am not able to open them -- and get a new one each month delivered in my Inbox.
