  This was one of the best games for the iPhone but recently PopCap seem to be going the Chillingo route & moving towards Freemium apps which this now is. Is it worth the download MOST certainly, is it as good as it was no.

  You can enjoy the full game without any in-app purchases by collecting coins through regular play. The in-app purchases just allow you to get extras faster without so many hours of play.
