PREMIER LEAGUE 2 AT OLD TRAFFORD

Under 23’s prepare for two matches at the Theatre of Dreams

As the 2016/17 Premier League 2 season begins to move into its final stages, Manchester United’s under 23 side are looking forward to playing their two final home league fixtures on the hallowed turf at Old Trafford.

United v Southampton – Old Trafford – Mon 13th Mar, KO 7pm
United v Tottenham – Old Trafford – Mon 24th Apr, KO 7pm -Postboned- TBC

Entry to the Theatre of Dreams will be FREE for all supporters at both fixtures - simply walk up to the turnstiles on matchday and get behind United’s future stars.

The club would like to ask all supporters with specific seating requirements or disabilities, who are planning to attend either of the two fixtures at Old Trafford, to call 0161 868 8009 beforehand to enable our on-site team to deliver the best possible service.

Theatre of Dreams is now a very appropriate name for this stadium.

The stadium is the attraction then - the football team is irrelevant - couldn't agree more!

To be honest the football , along with their results haven't been great this season from the Man U U23s.
They've lost many of their title winning players from last season. Donald Love , Marcus Rashford , James Weir , Paddy McNair , Tom Thorpe , Nick Powell , Andreas Pereira , Liam Grimshaw, Timothy Fosu-Mensah to name but a few !
There are still some decent prospects there but the team in general is a far cry from the quality they had in the previous couple of seasons.

Absolutely, Since the format changed and Warren Joyce left we've taken a tumble but I'm sure we'll bounce back :).

More premier league clubs should follow suit and not put games away at alternative lower league or rugby league grounds for u19, u23 games

is the parking free at the stadium?

In my experience yes, It usually is for U23's but otherwise £10 to park at Cricket ground, loads of alternative parking.

Thank you.

Never been to old Trafford before.

Which is the best entrance for a good seat.
Thanks

Probably the players tunnel , then go and sit in the dug out ;)

On previous experience of attending U21's fixtures at Old Trafford they only open about 4 turnstiles in the main North stand so most seats will be pretty damn good.
My advice would be to go early and sit where you want , should they have a bigger attendance than expected they will simply open more areas to accommodate but all will be seated in the North Stand.
In my opinion the closer to the half way line the better for viewing the whole game but if you have a good choice of available seating at the time you arrive then you could choose to sit halfway between the halfway line and the the NW quadrant as this is closer to where the United players usually warm up in the half hour prior to kick off . ;)

Mon 24 Apr Tottenham (H) Old Trafford - postponed

"Manchester United is saddened to hear of the shock death of Ugo Ehiogu.

In light of the terrible news, the Premier League 2 fixture against the Tottenham Under-23 side he managed, due to be played on Monday at Old Trafford, has been postponed.".

May he R.I.P.
