To begin with, please don't make multiple accounts with this, there's no reason why all 850,000 can't create one account and the charts company cant hassle us about bulk buying!

If you don't have a Credit Card and want to support Rage for free, there's still a way and I have confirmed with the Charts Company that its eligible!*

1) Go to http://www.nokiamusic.co.uk/ Download and install the player on the main page insuring you select UK when it gives you the setup options!

2) Open the program and click "Join Now", Click "Join Nokia Music", fill out the details to create the account (No credit card details are needed)

4) Go to the main Store page and to the left you will see a box that says "Redeem Pin" Click on "Continue"

5) Enter ONE random of these codes, doesn't matter which one! Each one will give you £4 free credit and that's all you need to buy all 5 versions of the song, you can get up to £16 worth if you use all the codes, but please don't as Nokia may pull it if its abused!

Joe mcelderry lives in my home town and i think people should cut the kid some slack in this so called chart war. Both songs are C### anyway so i could care less but the point is the problem people have got should,nt be with joe it should be with cowell.
#6
thats the whole point of it all tanboy.. cowell has had xmas no1 past 5 years ... no competition anymore at xmas

no one has a problem with joe! the campaign had started before we even found out the finalist of xfactor. just people are sick of xfactor always being no.1.
#8
I suppose you are right duffa but i think ever since the charts started forming from online downloads aswell you never really get a true reflection like in the past, i.e the time when the beatles and i think michael jackson could of made up the whole top 10 because of downloads. Plain old buying from the highstreet suited me best.
Your rite though cowell is an egotistical machine who could careless in a year or twos time what happens to joe just like gareth gates and george sampson etc.
#9
I bought both.. soo merrrrrr
#10
The comments off the judges make me laugh....

Simon says "stop bullying us"

Cheryl says "why is an american band trying to win"

Louis says "You're ruining all the fun of the race for christmas number 1"

1) Simon calling others bullies?

2) Joe's singing a cover of an american disney song

3) Uh... need I respond to that?
#11
I bought it from play.com today but hey a couple if free copies wont hurt
#12
Joe can be No.1 next week.

We just don't want to be 'given' a Christmas number one each year.
#13
Cool works a treat:thumbsup:
#14
at the end of the day the song is carp it has the wrong message for christmass why couldnt you all have picked cliff ,george or even chris moyles

this would actually be awesome, come on Rage!
#18
Why can't they both get along? http://www.rathergood.com/climb - (naughty words in there of course). Thanks for the tip as well OP.
#19
I expect Joe fans are using the same loophole now as well to download his track loads of times.

Hopefully all the multibuys will be disqualified (for both sides) as it's not in the spirit at all. If all these people that joined the facebook group actually put their money where there mouth is (it's only 29p on Amazon folks, hardly prohibitive even in these times) then they would walk it to number 1, no need for all these people downloading loads of copies each (and as has been pointed out by the organisers it's against the Chart Rules so might be a waste of time anyway).
#20
So a bunch of Morons are trying to get the least Christmassy song ever to be NO 1

Merry Christmas
#21
i can't wait to play joe's single on christmas day morning because it's so "christmassy"!!
#22
ide rather keep my money in my back pocket than make these people millionaires. they fix people up for the right songs who they would prefer to win. thats why i never vote. im sick of hearing about xfactor number ones been hyped up.
#23
If the X-Factor song is so good then it will endure over Christmas and for years to come even if it fails to get to No.1. I'm not holding my breath.... lol
#24
OP...

I think you will find the name of the song is "killing in the name" there is no "of" at the end
#25
I think the choice of song is perfect for the task in hand. I have already bought it from play too. Sick of the UK Charts and the crap that comes from X-Factor etc.

Atleast RATM have said they will donate the money to charity too.

Anyone remember that year Iron Maiden should have been number 1 but they appeared to "rig it" to get some other crap there instead. Can't do it so easily now.
#26
Since they're both with the same label, there's only one real winner. Why couldn't we of done something more 'noble' and supported our solidiers instead?
#27
im with you Gynx these are both signed to Sony so whilst publicly Cowel will be against the campaign do you think he really cares as is bank balance is still going to get bigger!
#28
this song is worse than the x factor song load of old crap.......................................

LOL, and you think because Simon Cowell WORKS for Sony that he is going to get money from one of their artist doing well?
Good god, try and learn a little about the world (or read the countless threads regarding this) and you will understand that Sony are the real winners out of this escapadeas are the charity that RATM are donationg money to from the proceeds of the downloads sold.
Will make a change for something other than Xfactor to be christmas number 1 anyway!!!!

If you open up properties and click vista with service pack 2 under compatibility, it will work on windows 7. I'm using W7 and it works fine for me like that.

Done, another copy of the climb bought In the spirit of Christmas and goodwill!
#37
On the contrary. The song is ace and sends the right message for Christmas: 'We refuse to listen to anymore of Simon Cowell's manufactured C R A P'. We will listen to a decent band, totally underrated imo, for a change. Merry Christmas everyone  ROCK ON

Thanks for this it has worked a treat! One of the best things I have seen on here for ages.

this song is worse than the x factor song load of old crap.......................................

Tons of people are totally missing the point of this whole ratm campaign!
You dont have to LIKE the song, it was specifically chosen for ratm's controversial lyrics, and the fact we are debating it on a shopping deal site speaks volumes!
They delibertaly choose a songy that basically gives a big F you to the state of the current music charts.
This is not a personal attack against the x factor winner, as another post points out this campagin was in motion before the winner was even known.
It's just a SAD state of affairs that in 2009 it was taken as a given that the x factor winner WOULD be xmas number 1, this if anything has def sparked debate and hopefully introduced ratm to a whole new genaration.
And also hopefully enlightened the masses to what a BAND is, people who play instruments , write and perform their OWN material.
X factor is on for like 12-16 weeks, from the crap hopefuls to the winner, so it is SHOVED down peoples throats 2-3 times a week, it is essentially an infomercial for the time period it is on air, so it is VERY refreshing to see small internet campagin snowball into what it has!
RATM FTR!!!!
