Wow. That took some hoop-jumping.

Word of warning to others. Before claiming the offer:

1. Be logged into indiegala in your browser
2. Have your Steam account linked to your Indiegala account
3. Make sure that you have joined the Indiegala Steam group
4. Make sure that your Steam profile is set to Public.

If any of these are not met, you will just get an error when claiming.

Signed up to email alerts and managed to get a free copy of Blockstorm too.

Thanks. The game looks decent enough and the top review says so too.

Indie Gala requires those four steps because once they are done, they never demand to do them again. Gleam.io is a nightmare which doesn't even work for some users if they didn't buy stuff on Steam.

I'm not harshing on Indiegala. It's a crowded marketplace out there and they choose to use giveaways to force a little exposure for themselves. It's just business.

I did however spend 10 minutes going backwards and forwards trying to make it work, so I thought I would make sure that there was an easy list, because the requirements only come up after you try and get the deal and one at a time. Just trying to save someone else the hassle I had. :)

10mins? That took me about 2-3 only.

Btw, Gleam.io needs to lower the requirements to get free games or else they'll just keep on losing more users.

Well, maybe I'm older, slower and dumber and like to round up more than you. Having to reset a password on an old account, once I discovered my personal website email account wasn't allowed because it was considered a free, spam account didn't help matters.

Has this expired? I've never had trouble with IndieGala freebies before but I can't see this anywhere from the link provided.
