Not at all, the original post was for the elderly and those on benefits only. This offer is completely different and open to all. Hence why I said "Now all households are eligible for one free device"

heat added. will arrive in 42 days, hopefully in time for moving into my new house:)
Now, let's read how to install it...
#13
I'm hoping it goes between the hose and the shower head, otherwise it's too complicated for me.

I imagine it fits inline with the shower head hose. That's a threaded connection usually.

doesnt make sense?
suitable for non electric but regulates flow to a powerful electric shower?
any ideas?

I dont see what benefits this device has apart from 'dumbing down' a powerful shower.

Having read this I am still none the wiser. Its a bit like buying a nice powerful shower and then fitting this device so that it saves water and is less powerful. Why not just buy a **** shower:roll:

Personally, I like my power shower and as we're not metered then this aint gonna save me a huge amount of money.

It can be fitted to a wide range of shower and mixer taps.

Testing has shown it can limit the flow rate in a typical shower to 7.7 litres per minute, saving more than 21,000 litres of water per year for a family of four.

This leads to less energy being used to heat water and a corresponding cut in average domestic energy and metered water bills of around pounds 60 annually - depending on household energy and water supplier.

Perhaps just as importantly, it also helps drive down consumption in an environmentally sustainable way.

As eaga Shower Smart aerates the water supply there is also no or little perceptible difference from the restricted flow for the customer.

Martin France, manager of eaga Water Services, said: "As the go green message gains momentum, more customers are asking us what they can do around the house to save energy and cut down on carbon emissions.

"Our combination offer of four lowenergy light bulbs, a Power Down and now the eaga Shower Smart is proving extremely popular. We have already received more than 10,000 hits to the website - and the level of interest is rising." eaga Shower Smart can be fitted mainly on showers connected to the mains, pressure-fed hot water systems and pumped showers.

It is not suitable for electric, rainwater or multiple jet showers.

these are useless, i have one fitted to my shower, its basically just a pressure regulator in other words it makes a powerful shower a useless shower. Yeah it saves you money but it costs you your shower power lol

The water just trickles through, the people worrying about how to fit it dont worry all u have to do is unscrew the hose and stick this inbetween the outlet of the shower and the shower hose, piece of cake... all u need is a pair of pliers!
#20
thanks, hope this comes through. :)

Cheers Heat Added
#22
sent for. thanks

Got mine ordered, cheers.

hot find, cheers!

COLD - think people voting hot don't actually understand what this does - it's a useless gimmick and some companies way of trying to trick people into thiking their going green.

In a tiolet flush, yes less water is greener as you don't need the full 6 litres really, but in a shower, you want the best flow rate and pressure for the shower to work properly

Your effectively sticking a bung in the end of your shower or having someone permantly squeeze the pipe to restrict the water - whats the point!

I don't see how this could be related to this offer, it's got nothing to do with Essex and Suffolk water.
