thanks i signed up for the wilko one
#3
Thanks, I have signed up.
#4
Thanks Dino, have you tried these?
#5
My wife signed up for this 2 years ago.

Problem is, you have to go into the shop and buy items at your own expense. You do not get reimbursed. You then send them a receipt and they will send you your reward [£10 or whatever].

She has never found any 'jobs' ANYWHERE in Scotland in the 2 years since signing up.

Looks like a sneaky way of getting folks to shop in their own stores imo.

Have registered, lets see what transpires...getting paid to shop seems a good idea to me:thumbsup:

Also known as secret shoppers many companies have these positions, you've just got to hope your with a reliable one that will re-emberse(sp?) you.

We have secret shoppers coming into our store all the time, one was a complete liar though who gave our store un necessary bad marks, stupid people, we had cctv cameras that prooved most of what they said was lies *rolls eyes*

If you end up doing any secret shopping jobs, be nice lol don't makr the store down just cause your having a bad day.

it doesnt actually say that you need to send the receipt only to keep it till you completed the questionaire so i presume you can just photocopy the receipt then return the product and get your money back!
#9
Sounds like a plan batman! :D Just hassle having to buy something then take it back. Dont think I can be bothered for a tenner.

This is a bit crap really isn't it ??

You have to pay for the item yourself & dont get reimbursed !!

Most other "mystery shopping" places let you keep what you have purchased, then give you extra cash on top

From their web site.......

What if I don't want my purchase?

It will be entirely up to you whether you keep the item you buy as part of your shopping trip. If you don't want it you will be free to return it, unused, within 28 days of the purchase date. You must, however, keep it until after you complete your questionnaire as there is information on the receipt you will need to tell us about.

thanks for this, looks like i'm gonna have to fight loupomm for the local ones :giggle:

If you do this, do you have to declare it for tax if you already work?! That's what's always put me off!

Do you think that £10 will put you up a tax band? I think not!

Hi thanks for this Ad, I signed up. I've been accepted as an agent but the only shops that are participating at the minute are in Great Yarmouth and Huyton. Too far for me. I'll keep my fingers crossed Nottingham comes up.:-D

PS love your chunk profile Karlosblanco, I'm a huge goonies fan! :prop:

Technically yes, you should really pay tax on everything you earn over £5,035 (Year Ending 5th April 2007) and £5,225 (Year Ending 5th April 2008 )
#27
well if you shop here any way it really good
#28
I signed up for this a couple of months ago and it just constantly says

"There are currently no stores to be visited in your area"

Me too.

 Becoming more wary now...anyone can set up one of these web sites, take all the details you provide and then you have no control over what they do with that info.

There could be alias' of us all from HUKD out there already. :w00t:

I signed up for this 2 years ago and have never had a shop come up in my area (midlands), and I was happy to go to Manchester/Nottingham/Derby/Sheffield/Staffordshire...zilch. So don't hold your breath...
#33
I have worked for these in the past. Not bad - especially if you do the underage shopper ones. But there are better ones out there IMO! Google 'mystery shopping' or 'secret shopping' and have a browse. Some give you an allowance and a fee. others just an amount for going. some even pay travel expenses or an allowance towards it. Make sure you dont end up spending just for the sake of it!
#34
Hey guys my gf came up with a good point. What would stop you buying an item, doing your report and returning it within 14 days! Therefore getting your money back too?

So you go at your expense, spend time looking in a store for something you don't want to buy, buy it at your expense, and recieve only £10! And to add insult to injury if you don't want it you then have to go - again at your expense, back to the store to return it! Sounds like a desperate marketing ploy to me!
#36
Counter intelligence (ABA research) do lots of chains - Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Wilkinsons etc etc but like I said - there are others out there which are better. Not sure if Im allowed to say who but if you pm me I can recommend a couple of goodies!
#37
if you click on the link then remove the wilkinsons bit from the address bar you can sign up to the counter intelligence for all the sotres they do...
#38
Ive been with these for a couple of years and had 3 or 4 jobs to do.
You choose if you want to go to the store, so you dont have to buy if you dont want too.
Im quite happy to buy a small item if Im in the area anyway and yes there is always the option of returning an item.
Sign up to as many recommended ones as yu want so at least you improve your chances.

Hey its £10 for going somewhere Id be anyway....bonus!

The sign-up form is one of the worst I've ever used and there's was no offers in my area and I live in the city centre of one of the UK's biggest cities. Don't waste your time with this.
