  Yes, vwlou I did, I tried at 7 this morning expecting the same "general acces to the software update" message but instead this morning it started downloading a 480 meg download then auto updated to 4.1.1!

  awesome, i will keep trying later today then i thought something was on when that message popped up last night ;-), have you noticed any drastic improvements yet? like you i only got mine at xmas.

  1. On a PC, download Yahoo Messenger 1.8.1 apk and Yahoo Messenger Plug-in 1.6.0 apk for android.
  2. Copy both programs to USB and transfer them to the Tab.
  3. Insert USB pen using special cable into Galaxy Tab 2 (Skip this step if you have transferred them via the normal USB cable onto your tablet)
  4. Select messenger 1.8.1 apk and install
  5. Select messenger Plug-in 1.6.0 apk and install
  
  Video Chat should work fine now.

  Same again, is it worth updating? Any bennefits etc, another question would be do you have to backup stored data or is this similar to a firmware update that won't remove data and files.
