They finally created a mobile data version?
#2
Wow, great to see people voting cold without replying why? This is a software most used to make free voice and video calls over internet and now it is on Android. Get it quick so you can do all of that on the move now. So it is free, it is out now (been the missing app that I missed the most from my iPhone), will save you money starting today!

What's not to like? Vote hot if you like, move on if you don't want to download, are not interested, happen to be on iPhone or live in the dark ages and still pick up the phone and spend money on calls!!

Sometimes I wonder why bother??
#3
Finally! Just what I have been waiting for. Massive grin on my face right now. :D
#4
needs to support move to SD card. but otherwise excellent.

Woohoooooo. Thanks OP. Been waiting for this. Just hope it runs fine on the phone :)

Why my G1 can't download this app?

Is your version of Android lower than the requirements?

Install Cyanogen and have done with it ;)
#10
Bit irritated Skype banned Fring from using their networks...

Also - no video chat, doesn't let your phone go to sleep when loaded [battery drain], and problems reported on the Galaxy S.

Voting hot because we need this :P
#11
Okay this should be hot, but too many issues.

1) No video call aparently
2) Its massive - why is it so big?
3) No install to SD
4) Only Android 2.1 or above
5) Numerous 2.1 devices have advisory not to use the version out at the moment including Samsung Galaxy S which is a high end device

The G.1 only goes up to Android 1.6 and it states above you need 2.1 or above
#13
anyone else having probs downloading, i'm using the link in the text they sent me
#14
Will this be any different, or should I say better than the 3 version?
#15
I would have voted this hot, but it's limited by so many ways so I'm not going to vote.

Huge size for the app, no install to SD, and sadly it won't work with my Samsung Galaxy S. I will no doubt have to wait until they refine the app.

EDIT: Here's the QR Code:

I tried the Android Market but could not get it there for some reason. I've got a HTC Wildfire, so it should be fine?

My phone is on 1.5 - I use Nimbuzz which lets you log into your Skype and use it.
Search 'Nimbuzz' in the Market.

Not unless it runs Android 2.1 or above. Did you read the post at all?
