Can't find a WiFi hotspot to access Skype?
Not a problem. You can now make and receive Skype-to-Skype calls and call phones over 3G from your iPhone.

To get you started we're offering you free* Skype-to-Skype calls over 3G until the end of 2010. After that there'll be a small monthly fee.

And remember, you can always make free Skype-to-Skype calls when you do find the next WiFi hotspot.

my3g is a paid service and there is no need for it anyway as all calls are free on 3g in skype from now on......

Anyone else use 3G Unrestrictor for jailbroken iPhone's? I wonder if they have a way of catching people out once the charges come in? I don't really use Skype; as it's easier to get hold of people on Facebook. But would definately use it when I go abroad.

Apple is the phone manufacturer, Skype is an internet service. :thinking:

'3' The network provider did a deal with Skype to allow free usage over it's network.

I'm sure if you put a '3' SIM in your iPhone you could also get Free Skype calls.

The free over 3G sounds like it will become a paid for service in early September.

after that they will charge you monthly fee for that (skype-to-skype).

Read changelog when you gonna update:
"Skype-to-Skype calling on 3G is free until the end of 2010, after that there'll be a small monthly free"

3G = Data networks using your providers network capabilities. Not wifi aka 802.11a/b/g/n
