Sony Free 5 year warranty

  Does anybody known how you get this done?

  *** This is a retail, in store promotion only. Once you’ve received an in-store demonstration, the dealer where you
  purchased your BRAVIA will validate your registration form by applying a Store Stamp and Account number in the
  areas provided. All claims have to be made by the 28th February 2011.

  I just walked back in to comet yesterday and asked them to stamp the box, which they did, and filled the rest of the form in myself, i spoke to sony and they said not to worry to much about the account number as the stamp is more important, Comet dont have an indiviual account number, only a group one which sony will fill in.

  John Lewis offer 5 year guarantees on all TV's as standard....combine that with the 'never knowingly undersold' price match....happy days!

  Radio craft cardiff also offer a free 5 year warranty, as an ex sony delivery truck driver you usually find when sony do a warranty promo it includes most authorised sony dealers and sony centre stores

  Could you not attach a copy of your amazon invoice to replace the stamp? Or is this excluded from online. Worth asking the question.

  Have phoned Sony this morning; they don't keep a record of participating stores as there are too many.
  
  Phoned Best Buy, who after checking said they aren't a participating retailer.
  
  Online purchases don't count for this offer as you have to have had an instore demo in principle. You could try to be persuasive with shop staff of any retailer even if you bought from their online store.

  can you please confirm if you now have the warranty? because I got mine from Comet after making sure they participate in the offer (over the phone by three people!), but have just been told they are NOT participating.
  
  called sony as well, and the guy i spoke to said this form (AA7) will not be accepted!!
  
  not sure if i should argue with comet or just keep it without the warranty :(:(

  I got turned down for reasons of:
  
  - No dealer stamp
  - Dealer not participating in promotion
  
  This was for a Sony TV ordered from Curry's online. I was just trying anyway, as I wasn't sure if Curry's were participating or not...

  Hi all, unfortunatly i got turned down because comet were not participating in the promotion, which really annoys me beacuse i rang sony 3 times to confirm comet were included, i then went to the hassel of going to comet to get my form stamped, i have voiced my complaints to a manager, but there is still nothing he can do, Sorry for getting peoples hopes up!
  
  Anyone know an email address for someone high up in the sony empire, as i feel like firing off an email!

  i spoke to come on the phone before making the purchase and 3 people confimred that they were offering it.
  
  i've sent off the form to see if sony will give the warranty, but i guess i shouldnt get my hopes up.
  
  what is the possibility of me getting something if i contacted comet?

  just to let you all know I got my confirmation letter arrive today, full 5yr warranty expiring november 2010, (i got mine from Best Buy, no dealer stamp, no account number, supervisor at Best Buy just filled in their address by hand )

  This is an INSTORE INDEPENDANTS promotion only - not available from Comet or Currys .
  It is to encourage people to buy from independant retail high street shops , and get free 5 year warranty . If you buy online or from multiple chain (currys comet argos or similar) the form will be rejected by Sony . Support the high street ! (you`ll get a good deal too !!) AND trade in yourold set offer running too !
