Ok good find so il give you heat for that but the redemption is pretty poor given i would have to spend £50 to get a free 6" sub

"Loyalty points are our way of rewarding you for being a loyal SUBWAY® customer. You will automatically earn points every time you make a purchase at participating SUBWAY® stores and have your SUBCARD® scanned. You earn 1 loyalty point for every 10p [UK] or 15c [ROI] you spend."

Thats more subway than i care for. Fine if its your regular lunch stop mind you.

Yeah it is a pretty crappy return, but better than nothing i suppose. And great if you get the office's orders in!
Apparently if you register they'll send you offers etc so hopefully they'll have the sense to do bonus/double points days. But so long as you use the card at least once a year then the points remain active.

I love the salads; as I live on my own and I am on a diet these are a great for me as often I buy the ingredients and they go off too quick or I run out of something and end up buying a basket while I am there. Good stuff so heat from me!!

great find - repped

subway are normally a bit tight with their deals.

this one seems no different.

1 point for every 10p
so, £2 6" sub of the day earns you 20 points

500 points gets you a free 6" sub

so the deal is basically buy 25 get 1 free

doesnt roll off the tongue as well as buy 1 get 1 free :)

(feel free to correct my maths if i got that wrong)
#10
You also get 3x points for a month from now ish?

Could someone please tell me the name of the app in iTunes app store? There are a few apps but I couldn't see the specific UK one. Might have been searching for the wrong thing.

Just search for SUBCARD, or go to the top 25 free apps and it's ranked around 30th.

Ah, cheers. I'd looked for it before last week but it obviously wasn't there at the time. Only launched on the 16th. I go to Subway once a week so it should only take me 3 months to qualify for a free 6". Whoopee;)!

shows how much of a bad deal it is

I signed up, but WOW. You have to by 25 subs in order to get a free one?? Thats pretty skanky. I prefer the old system...
#22
Cold from me... 25 subs for a free one.. jog on.

they also put the price of sub of the day up by 30p now its £2.29 for a small 6" sandwich, McDonald's all the way

But the subs are £1.99 so you only get 19 points, :whistling: so buy 26/27 and get one free.

Oh dear! A subway salad when on a diet? the dressings are calorie laden!

Grow your own salad leaves in a tray (easy as anything takes about two weeks for them to be edible) and make your own dressing from olive oil, apple cider vinegar and a pinch of dry mustard!

I usually have 3-4 trays on rotation growing and that does a family of four.

I don't have a garden or the space to do this and I don't always have the dressing and if I do I choose a low fat one or one of my own, I am not stupid just too busy. A subway club salad without dressing or cheese has 145 calories.

What I find absurd about Subway is the Sub of The Day is £1.99 but to upgrade that sub now costs £2. So you're basically paying MORE for the second 6 inches than you did for the first! If I want a footlong I now order two seperate 6 inches, on seperate breads, instead. I know it's only a penny but it's the principle to me.

Since when? My local branch was still charging £1.99 last Thursday and it still says £1.99 on the Subway site. here

No, if you buy 50 Sub of the Days you get a free Footlong.

It's OK, the card isn't compulsary. You'll be pleased to hear that you're still more than welcome to spend £50 and get nothing free. ;-)

It may not be compulsory but it's at least a form of (free) advertising and normally companies pay bigger rewards to their customers to take up this kind of advertising.
#30
in stoke the sub of the days are only £1.99 but in manchester theyre £2.29 :( stupid prices
#31
I do find it annoying that they can set their own rules, as they are franchises. For example I live 2 mins walk from one and they dont charge extra for swapping the roll and making it to a salad bowl, but the one in Birmingham chareg an extra 50p!

Grab a card in-store, put a picture of the square code of your actual card onto your mobile, it will be scanned OK as well. It will then work on any mobile. no need to have the app at all. Better still, the same card could be shared by more than one person (within family) in such way.

'You earn 1 loyalty point for every 10p', 10 points for every pound, 500 points for every 50 pounds. It works out about 6%+ cashback rewards.

In order to be scanned well, use some software to improve the contrast, and make sure the square code turning up to be the right size.

Some guy in Subway told me that you get double points from subway if you register the card, but I don't see this in writing. Anyone has written evidence?

Yeah this is right. Unfortunately you dont get the full 20 points and so it does take you 27 sub-of-the days (when priced @ £1.99) to get the free sub. (500 points / 19 points).

For some reason on my first use of the card I got an additional 38 points on my first purchase of a sub of the day - received 57 points. Not sure why?!

You get triple points for a month once you have registered the card, or downloaded the app. I agree this hasn't been very well publicised.

It says you get a free regular 6" sub. Does that mean you can only get the "value" ones or can you go all out and get a steak & cheese or the new chicken temptation one?

I've got enough for a free footlong but haven't redeemed yet...

You can get any Sub. The "regular" simply refers to the fact it must be a standard menu item and does not include extra cheese, double meat etc.
