I thought it was a free to play game. With exception of in app purchases. So you can play the full game without payment

Sadly, Nintendo aren't that generous and very rarely (ever?) give anything away for free....

I'd rather pay up front rather than be hit with IAP messages constantly any time.

And I'm MORE than happy to pay developers money for games. Remember before mobile app stores? People don't know how good they have it these days :{

Free to download and play the first 3 levels and £7.99 to unlock the rest
What? No in-app purchases for coins? Are they mad or just plain amazing?! :D

This game is dead in the water for families. IAP to unlock full game means that, in my house, I'd need to pay £24 for me and my two children to play the game. Plus, with always online being forced upon us, my youngest can't play it on his iPod in the car.

Some very stupid decisions from the developers as I'd have bought it straight away if it was a 'buy' rather than a 'get'.

Yeah. There's no definitive date yet, though. It's releasing as an iOS timed exclusive.

£7.99 one off payment is way better than I thought it would be. I've sunk ten times that amount into other free to play mobile games I like over the years.

Am really looking forward to this. I'm absolutely rubbish at games but i was ok with Mario way back in the 80s (i'm 46 so not much hope of an improvement). Will try it out first. Am not really fussed that it needs a data connection as my ipad is always connected as it never leaves the flat.

I think it's a good price from a decent game developer. I'll get it and then pay the full amount when I get paid

Yes its 100% confirmed for Android Reggie said so on Jimmy Fallon. Apple have paid for a timed exclusive they have been careful to say its exclusive in 2016 or words to that effect i expect it Jan/Feb on Android once all the buzz from the IOS version dies down. I would expect it before March as this is a gateway to upselling to Switch

+1 on all points. Clever move by Nintendo to maximise profit or short sighted mistake limiting sales?

I was going to buy it knowing my kids could also play, but £7.99 each due to it being an IAP is not going to happen.

Voted hot got it for my 6 yr old and he loves it, prob won't bother with the extra levels so works out fine for me.

Good job it's in the freebies section then and not the deal section ;)

No you can't. In app purchases don't count on family share, only actual app purchases. Unless you can tell me another way to get it to work that doesn't involve logging in and out of iTunes on all devices and messing about.
