It’s always nice to enjoy a little extra. So now, every time you shop at a Sainsbury’s Local and swipe your Nectar card, we’ll give you 10 bonus Nectar points and a stamp on your Swipe & Stamp card (until 11 January 2015). Plus, an additional 100 bonus points for every 6th stamp.
Terms and conditions
The Swipe & Stamp promotion is a trial and available to a limited number of customers by invitation. The trial runs from 14 July 2014-11 January 2015 inclusive.
The promotion is also available to customers who have swiped their Nectar card in a trial store advertising the offer between 00:00 18 June 2013 and 00:00 17 June 2014 (listed below).
To participate you must download the Sainsbury’s or Nectar app, or update your existing app. You must then opt in via the app to participate in the trial (connection required).
This promotion is only available on iPhones using a version of iOS 6 or 7.
During the promotion you will receive 10 bonus points for every qualifying purchase and an additional 100 bonus points for every 6th qualifying purchase. There is no limit on the number of stamp cards you can earn within the trial dates.
Transactions of £1 or more in a Sainsbury’s Local will qualify for bonus points. *Fair usage policy applies – maximum of 4 swipes per customer, per day. Bonus points will not be awarded on any additional transactions on the same day.
Standard Nectar points of 2 points per qualifying £1 spend will still be awarded for all swipes of your Nectar card.
Exclusions apply – the minimum spend of £1 excludes the following: spirits and liqueurs, first stage baby milk products, National Lottery, tobacco, gift vouchers, gift cards, prescription medicines, over the counter medicines, postage stamps, savings stamps, mobile phone vouchers, phonecards, e top-up, paypoint payments, charity products and car park tickets.
You must swipe your Nectar card in a Sainsbury’s Local store. Swipes made in Sainsbury’s supermarkets will not be credited with these bonus points.
A stamp will appear on your Swipe & Stamp card the day after completing a qualifying transaction. User must be online for the updates to display. Bonus Nectar points from this trial will not appear on your receipt, but will be added to your account normally within 48 hours. Standard Nectar terms and conditions still apply.
If after your 6th qualifying purchase, you see a message in the app asking you to claim your 100 bonus points, you will need to tap the button in order to receive your bonus points and for your stamp card to be reset. If you don’t tap this button, you will not continue to earn stamps or the associated bonus Nectar points. Please follow any in app instructions you are given.
You will be asked whether you want to see the stamp card every time you open the app. If you tapped yes to this and decide later on that you don’t want this to happen, all you need to do is go into your apps settings and tap log out. When you are then presented with this message again, just make sure you tap 'No thanks'.
The trial runs from 14 July 2014-11 January 2015 inclusive, after which the Swipe & Stamp card feature within the app will be removed and you will no longer be able to earn these bonus Nectar points. We reserve the right to end the trial at any time.
