Do you have to credit the sim to activate it?
This is not a freebie - it costs £5 for the sim
been there, done that.
Do you have to credit the sim to activate it?

I don't think you have to. It only says you have to activate it. To activate the SIM, you have to make a call (to anyone I think, or just to the Tesco helpdesk line). The SIM comes with 20p credit on it so you can make that one call so I don't think there is any need to spend any money.

I sent off for one and it didn't cost me anything. They don't even cost £5 in-store.. they're £1.20 or something :?
Just ordered one for free, fingers crossed for quidco H&R for you, thanks.
I use this tariff and it seems pretty good to me. Also it uses the free credit before the payed for which is good.
i thought quidco gives a pound, as previously posted
ordered easy money if it tracs:thumbsup:
I ordered one in September (when it was posted before) and activated it with £10 when received 5 days later. It's tracked at £0 and validated at £0 :?

I thought it would have changed to £4.35 now it's validated and activated. Oh and you can't raise enquiries with merchant either. Still the tarrif's okay.

Please read the following before proceeding:

You can activate your card within 12 months period however your cashback will only be received after you've activated your sim within 6 months from order confirmation

One registration per member.

Please note that if you order more than one SIM per transaction, you will only receive cashback for only one SIM. You can order maximum of two Free SIM cards.

This will initially track at £0.00 and will validate at the correct amount once activation has been confirmed.

This merchant is unable to accept enquiries.

So can anyone confirm for sure if you need to top up when activating ... or is this a true "No Spend" quidco offer that beats the T-Mobile one?
