Overview

The eZ430-F2013 is a powerful development tool that provides both the USB based programmer and F2013 development board in a small USB stick package. The flash memory can be erased and programmed in seconds with only a few keystrokes, and since the MSP430 flash is extremely low power, no external power supply is required. The tool has an integrated software environment and connects directly to the USB port of a PC which greatly simplifies the set-up and use of the tool. The flash development tool supports development with the MSP430F20xx devices.

Look people, if you have to ask what it is or what it is for, you do NOT need this, so stop asking. I have no idea how to use it, so I will not be wasting the site's time and money requesting 3 things that will go to waste, I suggest the rest of you do likewise and leave some for the technically inclined to get their fair share.

I have absolutely no idea what this is and will consequently never use it. However, I feel I should order three of them, purely because I can. Sadly that may deprive somebody who could genuinely benefit from the promotion from getting one but......
Only kidding - I hope common sense wins out over the lure of a freebie

Basically if you don't know what it is don't order it or it will spoil it for those that genuinely want it when they realise people ordering are not genuine users

Did you just put anything in for the company URL for the customs question?

I put in "Self Guided Rocket Propulsion Ltd (N. Korea R&D Dept.)" and suggest you do the same.
This will ensure you receive a truely personal door step service.

Perhaps the wiki pages can clear that up for you. microchip/microcontroller. The point of my link to "let me google that for you" was to highlight that if people really wanted to know what something is, they could look it up themselves, which would be quicker than asking someone else to spoon feed them an answer.

Well maybe its ok for you degree educated computer buffs, but not everybody has heard of google, most dnt lv fb of10 enuff

It's a microcontroller with a debugging interface. The board inside splits in half and one has the debugging and the other the micro. You can program it to do various things like turn outputs on/off, read inputs etc. User guide is here: focus.ti.com/lit…pdf

This is only useful if you are an electronics dev and no this wont jailbreak a PS3 just because you can see electronic through the clear plastic.
Allowed me to pick up the MSP430 LaunchPad Value board without P&P so thanks to the OP.

It's why I find the whole concept of sites like "Yahoo Answers" … It's why I find the whole concept of sites like "Yahoo Answers" bewildering.

Yeah, while there are situations where people may have a specific question which they either can't find or don't understand an answer online (or in a book), people seem to just want someone to read something and tell them what it said, albeit they'd have to 'read' the answer themselves :P

I'd offer to send you one of mine but I gave one to someone at work, and going to give the other to a friend who has been looking for something like this (and didn't want to get a arduino/netduino without dabbling first)

and well... the other I'm just about to start playing with

I always find it odd that people ask on a forum what something is, rather than search for it themselves which would be faster than waiting for a reply.
