Shiver me timbers and hoist up the radio-mast, as the Tynesides daily newsreel hits the waves in more ways than one! In 1964, the UK experienced a revolution on the airwaves, as the unlicensed pirate radio station Radio Caroline began broadcasting to the nation from a ship anchored in international waters off the Suffolk Coast. Always at the cutting edge of entertainment news, this fascinating newsreel takes us onboard to meet the radio rebels responsible for transmitting pop music, for the first time ever, into millions of homes across the United Kingdom. Please pick up your free newsreel tickets from the Box Office.

This isn't a screening of the movie, it is a screening of the newsreel footage to do with Radio Caroline. The Tyneside (great cinema btw) do these every day, and have a huge library of newsreel footage available.
I love this cinema-went to there to see this very film last Thursday.
Film OK but my goodness the leather sofas and bar at the back made it a VERY pleasurable experience.
First time I have left the cinema without a numb bum in years!.
