Thanks had not noticed itunes could convert files.
I tried itunes but get message saying it is a protected wma file and cant be converted.
tried that but will not let me burn it to cd using Nero tells me file is protected

I'm sure I burnt it to a CD via Windows Media player and it was fine. I've just re-downloaded it and they even tell you how to burn it if you download it into Media Player:

If you have created an account and downloaded it from "Thetalkingbookstore.com" (and not from the direct link) then you simply enter the same credentials used for your accessing this account when promted to play the file. This dowloads the rights to your PC.

Thanks lambchopuk did that and it then allowed me to burn file through windows media player which I then transfered from cd to iplayer.
