These are ideal if you are travelling to one of there feel at home countries or are a low data user.

I now have 5 of these and therefore get 1GB of data each month totally free.

I don't know why the Hot UK Deals link is not working but here is the direct one but the address text needs manually typing into your browser address bar .
IF YOU CLICK ON IT OR COPY AND PASTE IT THEN IT WILL NOT WORK.

there is a topup required
I ordered one last time and it told me to topup atleast £2 before i could use the mobile data
No There is not! I'm using one now and I have never ever topped it up.
Once you register the sim on the web address they include with the sim card the 200mb are added automatically each month.
Every now and again they send me an email saying they have noticed I have not used the sim cards yet even though I have been using them each month.

Looking at the t & c's, "and if you're on Pay As You Go you'll need to convert your Pay As You Go credit into an Add-on to get a unit allowance to fully enjoy Feel At Home". So, need an initial top-up on payg if going roaming, and that will last 30 days. Will 200mb be added as an Add-on when roaming more than 30 days?

The free 200mb is added each month as a data add on and it does not need a top up because it's already an add on.
Also the free 200mb can be used in a feel at home country as well, I took 4 sims to Fuerteventura a few months ago and they worked just fine.

I bet you never bothered to register the sims when you got them like it tells you in the welcome pack.
If you still have the sims put them in your device Mifi / Tablet or mobile phone and open a web browser and in the address bar type in http://www.three.co.uk/freedata once registered you will get your free data every month.
This will only work if you are actually using one of the free data sims in this offer and not an ordinary 3 2 1 or normal data sim.

Sounds like a handy backup, will give it a go. Cheers OP

Works perfectly. If using more than one and you have problems when one runs out and you switch to a second, clear your cache/cookies. Also, bear in mind that you will need an internet connection for initial activation so that you can access emails to confirm account.

It defo will NOT ask you to top up but it does give you the option after registering the sim
I have just this second registered another one that arrived yesterday and I'm now using it to type this message.
I'll try a figure out how to do a screen shot and post it here with the confirmation page.
#12
I figured it out how to post screen shots so this will confirm the offer is genuine and works if you take the time to register the sims.
Also I used the same email address to register on all my sims and they all went through ok.

Interesting! Tried this a couple months ago and couldn't get it to work. I put the sim in my phone and went to the given web address to register, but at the point it tells you to switch from wifi to data it just said my device wasn't supported.... however, I just got the phone out and tried again and it's worked! :)

I was given a Blu Windows phone a couple of months back because the person who purchased it was told it would be upgradable from Windows 8.1 (installed) to Windows 10. Microsoft subsequently dropped the phone from its list of phones that had sufficient memory to support Windows 10. At which point my mate purchased a dearer Nokia Windows phone. Around two weeks ago I powered up the phone and was told an update was available, so I followed the instructions to download and install. To my amazement (and the consternation of my friend) the phone finally booted into Windows 10 and has run perfectly since. I didn't have a SIM for this phone so this free offer will complete my free phone. I insisted giving a tenner to my friend for the phone but he refused taking it. Only drawback is I dislike all flavours of Windows.

I've been using this for about a month and can confirm no topup is required. You just have to register using the address provided in the sim pack.....however I couldn't get data to work in Czech Republic at the weekend - unsure if this is a limitation or if my APN settings are wrong or something??

Either way, free 4G internet each month is HOT from me.
#16
I can also confirm that I've never topped up mine, and have been using it in Mallorca for the last couple of weeks

It may be a daft question but did you remember to activate 'data roaming' in your phone settings, mobile phones have data roaming off by default.

FreedomPop do a similar offer...also with no top up required.

I did, but I'm running custom roms and dual sims - It's most likely some retarded settings I'm using. I'm sure it would have worked normally.

I used FreedomPop before, but it doesn't do a Feel at Home alternative - and their app completely takes over my phone stopping me from using my main sim. The 3 sim is much better for data.

If I remember correctly Freedompop want your credit/debit card details before they will send you a sim card that costs £1 they then will charge that card every month for a package if you don't cancel it.
For that reason I'm OUT.

This is what I did just now, after advised by Three agent, after I gave my SIM last 6 digit code printed on it, re-register these sims with http://www.three.co.uk/freedata (not sure if you needed to tell them your 6 digit sim on your Three SIM to do something with before you register though). SIM now works and account shows 200MB allowance as free add on.

Mutter mibberish, as above, I just re-registered, as before, no top up required, and there is even a selection at registeration whether to top up or not to top up with the new web page design (last used in August during registeration). I clicked on "continue with no top up". But SIM needs to be used at least once every 6 months, so I assumed this to mean, at least one text for 2p then, unless you gone over the 200MB and spending the 1p/MB rate.

Will this work with a 3G only phone and iPad ? Because I cannot get it to connect.

Yes it will work in both,In what way do you mean can not get it to connect?
#26
When I turn the wifi off, as instructed by 3 registration page, I lose my internet connection, even though the iPad says mobile data 3
#27
It is not allowing me to register via mobile data and when I switch on wifi, I cannot access the registration page.

I'm going to give it one more shot.

Are you actually using one of the special 200mb free data sims? because normal '3' voice or data sims will not work with this offer.

Yes but like I said is it one of these 'promotional' data sims that you ordered through the '3' website? because a traditional '3' Data sim will not work.
#33
Yes it's one of those.....

Yes it's one of those.....
Can you connect to ANY of the '3' website pages with your mobile data sim? for instance http://www.three.co.uk
Even a sim with no credit will allow browsing of the '3' networks web pages.
If you can't you may have the wrong APN settings or the data turned off in your device settings.
If you can access other 3 webpages but just not the registration page you will need to clear your website Cookies/Cache and it will work. I needed to clear the cookies for each new sim I received before it would let me register another sim card because they only want you to have one.

Yes you can defo receive calls and texts on these sims because I have tried it myself.
As for making calls I believe you can add credit from the topup page, they call it international credit top up and it will enable you to make calls but I have not tried this because I use mine in a dual sim phone for the free data and a Talkmobile sim for 10p per hour phone calls.

Thanks

I used the data from this in France in July and it worked fine, no top up was required.

You can receive calls and SMS. If you want to make calls and send messages without topping up then use Whatsapp.
