Good for those who are planning to book a theory test and for those who need to keep up with the new rules.

BMW drivers, you don't need this, just an ego and a rip up the rules of the road mentality.

Brilliant.

Hopefully some of the tosspots who drive on the section of the M25 I use each day might see your post...

BMW and Audi drivers won't like this as they'd have to print it out before they wiped their ass with it.

Great, I can find out if anything has changed since the late 1980's when I did my test... I don't suppose it's much different :D

How much time did you spend on this before taking your theory? I am thinking if it's worth doing my test in around 12 days or so, some questions are more of a common sense I guess.

about a month completing every test on the page and passing the real test example everytime, I couldnt get practice on the risk assessment though, I had to pay for that, about 6 pound for 17 examples I think

Fair enough, Couldn't get an appointment for the day I wanted, so booked it for 5th of July, hopefully that's enough time considering I have lots of spare time at the moment.

Good luck!

Thank you! Tried the practice test and managed to get 38/50 just now, heard the hazard perception is the difficult one though.

If someone was using their phone whilst driving looking up a street sign or how to give way right on a roundabout, I'd probably not ticket them LOL

To all those with an upcoming theory test, I highly recommend this

Driving Test Success All Tests 2017 Edition https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1843266164/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ygJqzb36MMECF

App versions for iPhone and android are also available for convenience (that's what I did), make sure you revise ALL modules/sections, go through them all don't make the same mistake I did and just do the mock tests and inevitably fail, as a question will come up which you have never seen before. Simply reading the Highway Code probably won't be enough as you need the hazard perception practice also!

Modern times.
No need for books :D

In ten years time it will be like "modern times, no need for ebooks. Just download it to your brain"

Last week I completed a speed awareness course. 15 of us in the morning session, 25 booked for the afternoon one. We each paid 75 pounds. The trainer recommended a copy of the Highway Code to update knowledge. Just wish I had known where the police van was going to be the day I got pinged! That's what the trainers called it, getting Pinged! :)

And never forget: indicators are for the weak.

Found some typos.

The bits about using indicator signals and giving way to pedestrians crossing a street into which you are turning do not apply in London.

I read all the highway code then did https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app-bundle/theory-test-kit-2017-official-driving-test-success/id1166982631?mt=8 all the theory questions and hazard videos. (it didn't have the road signs when i bought it a couple years ago). Would highly recommend - using the app for questions much more fun than books - but for the highway code i read a paper copy.

Don't worry about time frame. I booked mine for 12th June, and that was on 5th June. Revised for a week and passed it with 49/50 in theory test and 65/85 in hazard perception.

I used the DVSA theory test app and practised all sections: See here
I also used the DVSA hazard perception app and practised all the clips: See here

It's worth getting the paid versions of both those apps, which comes to around £5.00, and are practically all you need.

The last thing I used was toptests.co.uk . The website is completely free, and has lots of theory tests to practise, ranging from easy to hard, so make sure you pass all those with at least 46/50 in each one.

P.S. Like you say most is common sense, but you do need to know some stuff by revising, like motorway lighting, parking rules, MOT documentation and road signs!

Good luck!
