Unlocked HTC Desire? Update to Froyo now!

If you've got an unlocked HTC Desire, you can update to Froyo now. It gives a speed boost, your battery will last longer, and a whole host of new cool little features.

All you have to do is go to your Settings, About Phone and then System Software Update, and wait for the magic to happen.

If you're locked to a service provider, your update is coming soon!

You don't need a link to get it working. Follow the OP's instructions. Just be aware this is only for people with unbranded handsets.

IF YOU ARE ON VODAFONE DO NOT DOWNLOAD FROM YOUR PHONE AS IT IS NOT 2.2, ITS JUST A VODAFONE BRANDING UPDATE - AVOID ...SO MANY PEOPLE ARE FCUKED OFF ABOUT THIS. why cant people bother to read??? It was so clear as to how to update through your phone and moreover the pic is FrozenYoghurt.....that is what Froyo means afterall. I really like the sense of the uploader in choosing a very meaningful pic.
