ok you need to give some more info i.e. what you are currently on and what you've been upgraded to etc.

Sorry about that, I had the L package and now have the XL. You can upgrade any of the packages you have but I think you can only go up one package.

here are the channel list http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/tv/channels/index.html

BEWARE, I found this a bit of a con. Free is free, no extra charge and then being reimbursed. Now this may be complicated but try to follow me on this....
I took them up on this offer in Decemeber. On the January and February bills they charged my TV part of the bundle at the large price so I called to query this (I argued that if it is free, then I should be billed at my normal tv size price, but apparently no). They said as Virgin customers are billed a month in advance you have to pay for the large TV part in advance and then they will credit my bill two months down the line if I go back to what I was before. They are so full of crap they babble on about anything rather than admitting that this is not really a free deal. They weren't even going to reimburse me the full amount so that it would appear to be free (and even that would be two months down the line with them earning interest on extra money I'd paid them). I threatened the usual when I'm not happy with their service, i.e. I would bin them and go to sky. Still they didn't care (they have new hard-core customer service staff) but eventually they agreed that I'd been overcharged by £1.54, but they didn't apologise they just explained that it was due to their complex pricing structures. Just as well I was in the mood to fight for my £1.54, lol. So, I'd strongly advise against it, the channels are pretty crap too, haha. But if you go ahead and you only want this as a two month freebie, well, make sure you cancel it on a specific day and time and ask them to verify this precisely. And stick to that cancellation date and time rigidly.

i rang up 3 weeks ago to enquire about going on there tv system and they was going to charge me £35 to del and i said no i would think about it then i got a phone call offering me the whole pack delivered and installed for free plus £10 of my next bill and 2 months of the whole tv channels for free so then after this i only pay £5.50 a month onwards so i took it. if you say you will think about it and get back to them then they will either reduce it there and then or they will ring you with a deal such as i wanted to go on there phone and after saying no again they gave me it for £5 a month with 24/7 calls all the time.bargain.

I called Virgin today and did this no problem

I got 20 extra channels so i'm happy. Just make sure they are aware that the M-M+ is offered online as they are not aware of this and some of the offers are only available via the website.

Great find though :-D

Why the cold ness?

Because of their bizarre pricing structure, they actually paid me £1.50 to go from L to XL for 2 months!

because you have to take the amended package for 12 months. you cant just revert back in 2 months time from what I understand.

Not what I was told? I was on the phone complaining about something and they offered it to me for 2 months, we'll see what happens after 2 months I guess...

no, the 2 months is the free upgrade. You changed your package therefore you automatically have to start a new 12 month contract so you have to pay more in 2 months time for a minimum 10 month term

this is a really bad deal

They can try that, but I haven't been with them for 12 months yet so they shouldn't have upgraded me anyway. And at no time did they mention a new 12 month contract, so they've sold it to me fraudalently if that's the case. Infact the guy said I coudl cancel after 2 months if I didn't like it, thinking about it.

I will let you know when I cancel the XL next month!
