2007 marks Virgin Trains' 10th birthday, and to help us celebrate we are giving away 10,000 tickets* to be made any day (except Sundays) between 05 January and 30 March 07 inclusive! (Please note this excludes the half term school holiday between 10 February and 25 February 2007 inclusive).
* Two tickets equals one return journey.

You can apply for you (and one other passenger) to travel by simply filling in the form below, along with your preferred journey details in order of preference. Journeys are distributed subject to availability, therefore it is advisable not to choose peak times (such as Friday afternoons) when trains invariably get booked up very quickly.

You will hear back from us at least 10 days before your specified journey time. You will either receive a ticket to travel on one of your specified dates, or be notified by email if we cannot reserve you on any of your chosen journeys.

But hurry, our generous streak won't last forever, we are giving out tickets on a first come first served basis until stocks last...

Closing date for receiving entries:
Monday 18 December 2006 (or until stocks last)

Thank you - great offer - hope the trains run quicker than the UKhotdeals website! Choo choo!
#3
The problem is that you will not hear back from them until 10 days before your journey by which time tickets will be mega expensive
#4
"at least 10 days before"

Cheers! Gr8 deal

Yes I think although the tickets won't be sent until around 10 days before travel they will let u know if they are goin to send them well before this by email so don't worry about all the virgin value tickets been gone too much.

There are very reputible company (in my opinion anyway) so if you've applied early you do stand a good chance!!

if you don't hear 10 days before hand and book the tickets anyway - can you cancel and get a refund on your bought tickets

I regularly book train tickets via qjump and on occasion have to request a refund; I generally buy tickets to be collected at the machines in Euston or Kings Cross so when a refund is required I just log on to my account and cancel them. Sometimes an administration fee is charged, other times not. I don't know why...

Cool deal.... will just have to remember not to tell my other half in case I'm not lucky enough to get tickets.
On the subject of refunds - 'advanced' tickets (those which allocate a specific train and seat and tend to be very cheap) incur some form of admin fee IF you are able to get a refund at all (it's all in the booking conditions). It's the 'walk up' tickets - like 'saver return' (which can also be brought in advance) - that shouldn't have a charge provided you go for a refund before the date of travel shown on the ticket.

The offer is now closed due to tremendous response.

I don't think having the :w00t: smiley is at all appropriate, considering that someone died. :-(

Yea, the 17:15 EUS-GLC service. Apparantly, it was 390033, but you lot here probably don't know what that means. :geek:

A very unfortunate accident, and rather scary for me. I was booked on the 23:00 London Euston - Glasgow Central sleeper friday night. To think that the sleeper service, formed of 16 coaches would have overturned would have been catastrophic. With most people asleep aswell, it don't bare thinking about. :-(

They told us coaches were being arranged, but we were having none of that. It was aknackering night to say the least. 23:30 To leeds from kings cross, 2 hour wait at leeds, then 5:00am train to doncaster, then another service to glasgow.

Then to get to glasgow and find the thing you want is no longer avilable and is selling on fleabay for £200, you could say i was left cursing to high hell and back. :x :x :x

Anyway, to everyone one involved in the aciident, get well very soon :):)
