As soon as you hit the CONFIRM button, it says this:

"Thank you for booking your tickets. Please check the details then enter the BOOKING NUMBER below on the relevant page in the newspaper and take it with you to the cinema you have booked in good time for the screening. If at any time you find you cannot attend this screening please CANCEL your tickets so that others may use them. Simply return to this site, click CANCEL and follow the instructions. Should you misplace your booking number, you can RETRIEVE your bookings by clicking on the RETRIEVE button. For more information on film and cinema, CLICK HERE"

They are referring to the Sunday Times Culture magazine (page 30).

However, there is no mention of this in the confirmation EMAIL. And the confirmation email says:

Thank you for booking to see the screening of Wall-E (SATURDAY)

Please find below your booking reference for 4 tickets

Your booking number is XXXXXX

Please print off this page and bring it to the cinema on the day of the screening.

THERE IS NO MENTION OF BRINGING IN THE TIMES PAGE!

In the rare case they ask you about the magazine page - i would simply blag and explain that you never saw any message regarding that.

You did exactly what the confirmation email said - showed up with a printed email.

I'm a greedy Ba**** - just ordered 8 for each day under 2 separate email addresses LOL!

Thanks!

(And there I was thinking York would never have previews again....)
#3
Which paper was it in?

I'm sure the paper is cheaper than 4 cinema tickets if you want to avoid disappointment (and I think my neighbour gets the Times so hopefully he still has one!).

Duck.

I've edited main post to reflect what page you must enter the CODE on.

As i say though, the message is very easy to miss.

If it was that important, they would've surely had mentioned it in the EMAIL.

But nothing wrong with being super safe.

Im not assed, though.

Thanks for that - just ordered 2 for me and the hubby... hope they don't demand the magazine though....

Does anyone know whether I can just go out and buy a Times today, and it would have the relevant section in it?
#20
Must be just me but I am a bit confused on what I *do* to sign up for the tickets and what cinema they are at, Newcastle-Under-Lyme is in the post so I guess it is Vue (I live in NUL) but I am unsure on what i do at the deal page..
#21
I've never yet been to one where they ask for the times, they always ask for the print out (they have a list of names anyway just in case you forget your vouchers/printout).

You can have your doubts about "what ppl on some website says" but then knowing that, the email does say you only need to take a printout of that even though the website itself says bring the paper. What do you think the ppl working at the cinema know? Not much, they just read the email printout and then let you through =p

Please print off this page and bring it to the cinema on the
day of the screening.
