At least some of the people who voted hot will have found the deal useful, and it's not that hot anyway so I doubt 'real' deals will be hidden by it. Also people know they can watch TV on catchup but they might not realise there's movies on there as well over Christmas that you normally have to pay to watch legally.

There are way more on other catchup services.... Not that this isn't a good freebie, but why restrict it to i player?

Everyone also knows about torrents, but that doesn't stop certain sites getting shut down for putting a link up ;)

You can't compare iPlayer to torrent sites, iPlayer doesn't link you to illegal content.

How is this any different from iPlayer at any time of the year??

Except that's nonsense. All films shown on BBC channels go on I player all year round, with the rare exception for rights reasons. This has been the case for years now.

It's not a deal, it's a freebie. Something which you normally have to pay for available for free. You normally have to pay to watch all these movies but for a limited time they're available for free.

True but there normally aren't many popular movies on BBC - films like the ones I've posted are only shown at Christmas and sometimes Easter. So my point isn't nonsense at all because it's completely true to say there aren't many films on iPlayer, because there aren't many films shown on BBC.

Why do people get in such a snit about someone posting deals/ freebies? So many whiners and at a glance they post/contribute nothing at all to the site except criticising those who make the effort to share.

You can't compare iPlayer to torrent sites, iPlayer doesn't link you to illegal content.
And Google doesn't?

I never said google doesn't someone compaired iPlayer to Torrents.

Thanks OP for posting this, take no notice of the grumblers who complained. I think this is a very useful post as I believe very few films make it onto iplayer.

Lol how is this a deal.

You may as well make posts for ITV Player, 4OD, Demand 5. Oh how about doing it for SKY GO (free for sky customers ;) )

Cold!

It's not a deal, it's a freebie. Something which you normally have to pay for available for free. You normally have to pay to watch all these movies but for a limited time they're available for free.

How is this any different from iPlayer at any time of the year??

Because normally there aren't many movies on iPlayer, and no 'popular' ones at all.

Except that's nonsense. All films shown on BBC channels go on I player all year round, with the rare exception for rights reasons. This has been the case for years now.

True but there normally aren't many popular movies on BBC - films like the ones I've posted are only shown at Christmas and sometimes Easter. So my point isn't nonsense at all because it's completely true to say there aren't many films on iPlayer, because there aren't many films shown on BBC.

Avengers was not on iplayer !!

Its saddening that sarcastic, pessimistic comments tend to get up-voted whilst useful comments go unacknowledged.

Every one knows about iPlayer.

iPlayer has been around a very long time, theres also itv player 4od 5player daveonline etc
I wish TV catchup related stuff would not get posted, people inevitably press hot then the real deals get hidden
At least some of the people who voted hot will have found the deal useful, and it's not that hot anyway so I doubt 'real' deals will be hidden by it. Also people know they can watch TV on catchup but they might not realise there's movies on there as well over Christmas that you normally have to pay to watch legally.

Thank you both.

So sad correcting peoples spellings.

Also if your going to use a exclamation mark, you don't put a space after the word.

"Compared!" you should have wrote.
