  It's awful, truly awful, the whole new layout sucks in so many ways, this will be the downfall of Microsoft im afraid, they should have kept to their old design and not this unfinished mess of and operating system, never in my life of the computer industry have i seen such a mess of an operating system, makes vista look a 5 star o/s and i never throught i'd say that,

  Seems like the whole world is sucking up to touch screen design now, whether you want it to or not.

  Still time to amend but I hate the touch screen style, its a reason that I hate using the new website design for here.

  thats not the point, there will come a day when they stop supporting 7, what then, other than move to an alternative like linux or mac

  Been using Developers preview for a while now, so far I think it's good. Start up is so speedy, and power management is better. The start menu is good for tablet but somewhat clumsy for a normal pc.

  Found the Metro overlay thing in the developer preview to be quite annoying.... hopefully you can switch it off :)

  Yes, you are right. If your all so annoyed and not liking the metro interface there is a utility to enable the standard Windows 7 layout. I don't know why people hate it, I love it. In fact I want to use it as my Main OS right off. Windows 8 is really good and a right step for Microsoft with the Hybrid boot etc.
