Seems to be quite good software & very easy to use.
I converted a 2 hour movie into an iPhone friendly mp4 in about 30mins with just a couple of clicks.

Great find. H&R added!

Unfortunately doesn't work on PowerPC Macs, even though it says it runs on Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard. Why would you put Tiger on a Intel Mac :S

There is still a user base with Tiger installed on their first gen Intel Macs.

Handbrake is free all the time.

+1 for Handbrake for DVD rip to iTunes / iPod / Apple TV / whatever...

Oh and for direct 1:1 copy of a dvd get hold of Mac The Ripper, also free (to version 2.6.6).

Sorry but coldy cold cold deal. I realise you can't get THIS cheaper but why would anyone pay for any such tool when the free apps to perform this task are readily available and have been for years?

Only for those unable to use google IMHO.

Thanks, I'll give this a go.
I've had little luck with Mac The Ripper (doesn't support latest protection) and its a pain to have to do 2 steps i.e. rip + compress (HandBrake). MTR + VLC didn't work for me either.
I tried RipIt auto compress but that just barfs too.
