I got my tickets a few weeks back, just got another email through so thought I'd re-post as it was such a good day out last year.

Not wanting to steal anyone elses thunder etc.
#4
Got mine as well this morning , can anyone reccomend any cheap places to say in the area ? like B&B's or hotels ect?
#5
i must have missed the previous post so thanks for this looks like a great day out, anyone know if there is much difference between the 2 days??
#6
If you book early enough with travelodge they do rooms for £15 a night and you can sleep up to 3 people.
#7
Only difference between the two days is that Sunday is MUCH busier than Saturday. Exiting the circuit by car was a nightmare on Sunday evening.
#8
thanks i thought it was fully booked but apparently not it says:santa: my tickets should arrive within 6 weeks thanks very much
#9
I only live down the road, so i booked some about 2 weeks back.

If you don't turn up at the event they send you a rude letter, and you have to fill in a questionnaire on why you did not attend.
#11
have ordered these for my hubby

Of course you don't have to fill it in, I was Being flippant, but I was surprised to get the letter "big brother is watching" I guess they check the serial numbers and know who did not attend.

They had a bit of a cock up over collecting the data first time around. I got an email asking me to complete some missing details from my address, which isn't very impressive on it's own but the way they created this web page to collect the data meant that you could (and still can) easily discover everyone else's name and address.

Called them up to explain the error and was supposed to get a call back but never did and it's still not fixed weeks later. Ah well!
#17
i had a emai to saythey didnt get all my data entered due to error on site. i added details (again) but not heard anything. so have applyed again in hubbys name. hope we get tickets :(
#18

Anyone found any decent prices for hotels round the area, travelodge seems wise to the event and the hotels for sat/sun nite are expensive, any other day you can get it for £15
#24

The only catch I could possibly see here. Is their opportunity for some hard sell tactics as they are asking what Renualt car you are interested in next.

Still all you got to do is tell em to bog off and thanks for a fantastic day :-D

Great find I shall be ordering some too!

The whole area are wise to the event. Cheapest I can find is this:

Shaw House

Address: Robinsons Hill Melbourne, Derbyshire, DE731DJ
Telephone: +44 (0)1332 863827

Single Room : £25 Double Room : £50
Room Options:
Shower
Television
Tea & Coffee
No Smoking
On-Site Options:
No Smoking Areas
Local Options:
Historical Interest

The above has no information as to whether the price will go up during the World Series.

Maybe you would be better off either camping or booking outside of the area.

i live about 4 miles away from the circuit. For any one wanting accomodation can i suggest trying Kegworth, diseworth, Long whatton, shepshed, loughborough (about 10 miles away) ashby de la zouch (about 10 miles away). Try the services at Donington (moto)

with regards to camping you could try ring ing the circuit at donington.HTH

I went with Premier Travel Inn, cost me and my mate £67 for a twin room consisting of Unlimited Full English Breakfast the next morning each. Its £52 if you dont want to be fed.

No-ones allowed to post any cheaper deals now, else i'll be really p***ed off lol!:-D

My partner and I have booked into the Holiday Inn Derby/Nottingham Fri-Sun Apparently the hotel is only about ten mins away in a car - 2 nights with breakfast both mornings and a three course evening meal on ONE of the evenings all for the bargain price of £99int total for the whole package

Ring hotel direct and ask about there 'Dinner Experience Package' :-D

We've booked a 3 bedroom lodge here http://www.hoseasons.co.uk/productSite.aspx?ClassCode=LP2943&Theme=parks&HolidayTypeName=UKParks

£270 for Friday to Sunday and it will sleep six. £45 each for 3 nights! and it's only 4 miles from the race track.
#39
Is anyone camping for this? Does anyone know of any good campsites in the area that aren't full? I've been for the last two years just on the Sunday, but this year we're going to go for both days but everywhere seems to be full, arrgh!!
