Zentimo is a powerful external drive manager

For those who are familiar with USB Safely Remove, this is a new version by the same author. For those who are not, at its simplest this allows you in one click to remove USB drives and the like, rather than the four or five clicks needed using Windows default software. It also allows management of drive letters in a much easier way. Simple and it works.

This is a free license for version 1.0. No updates will be given, but you can use it forever.

It saves time and extends user abilities on active work with flash-drives, portable drives, card readers and other gadgets.

Key Features

Drive Letter Management
The program hides drive letters of unused card reader slots, can assign drive letters to a specific device, and much more...

Portable App Quick Launcher
Lets you launch any application located on your external drive with one click

Powerful Autorun
Can automatically mount\dismount your TrueCrypt drive, launch a file manager, check flash drives for viruses and run anything else on device connection\disconnection

Enhanced Safe Device Removal
Lets you stop a device, display locking processes, or reconnect a stopped device.

Honest Drive Speed Test
Perform read/write speed tests for any attached drive.

It only takes 2 clicks in Windows to "Safely Remove" a device. Left click and select device. Might be free and fair enough but I don't see the point.
Might get this to replace my current program "USB Disk Ejector"...

I have to use it because sometimes my Windows USB Safely Remove icon disappears, for reasons unknown!
read/write speed test looks like a good feature too. Handy for finding the best of your USB sticks

totally agree

2 clicks on mine too. Why put another memory resident program on a PC to save 1 click......
A pointless piece of software. I don't even do one click when removing USB devices and have never encountered a problem.
Looks a bit like snake oil to me. So long as you don't go snatching your USB stick or USB hard drive out of the port while data's still being copied to it you should be alright. I don't bother with Safely Remove Hardware and I've yet to encounter a problem.

As I understand it, all Safely Remove really does is tell all running programs to finish up copying stuff to or from your USB and let you know when they have.

Basically, if the wee light on the device is still flashing don't pull it out!
