great deal voted hot!!

Elite = £299.99
Halo 3 = £38
Forza 2 = £35
Wireless remote = £30

so around £215 for an elite in a crazy round a bout way!!! great deal!

'cos someone in that thread told me it was an excellent price that I'd struggle to beat, so I just bought it :P

Annoying though, cos I had to swap my controller for a wired one anyway, lots of hassle, which I hadn't bothered.

Basically it worked out that I spent about £25 on Forza 2, which I don't even really want, and I've just let my friend borrow for a few months.

Sigh.

Not sure I would say pointless, I find the extra HDD space useful since switching from Premium to Elite and that's before the introduction of the Video Marketplace in the UK. The HDMI output is an added bonus if you need it but that is now available on some Premium consoles, have to check before buying if you want it.

My Elite is also much much quieter than my Premium was but from looking arounds forums it seems that some Elites are far from quiet so don't upgrade on that basis alone!

Saw this same package in the paper this morning being sold at Currys, but it was £30-£40 more. So I'd say this is a pretty nice bargain!

Its supposed to be quite hit and miss. A lot of people are moaning about the noise level being worse.

I got this deal with Blue Dragon for an extra £10 which i'm gonna trade in. It came to £335 including delivery. Quidco came to £9.66.
