Nintendo Wii in stock (in store only) - £180 @ Sainsburys

Looked every where (online and hight street shops) to get a Nintendo wii for the normal retail price with no joy, didn't want to pay ebay or Amazon market place prices. I spotted them in our local Sainsburys (Newton Abbot) so I bought one. I asked about their stock and was told thay had 5 left, chances are your local sainsburys might have some in stock too, well worth a phone call to check if you are after one.

getting ready for xmas and ebays . the gimmick on the wii dies out very fast. no decent games, only zelda untill mario kart come out, sad . what the heck, wii fit. nintendo not aiming for hardcore gamers

I was looking for couple of weeks but could not find a game shop or any shop online or high street who had one in stock. There are some on ebay £200+ and market place Amazon for £296.97 for just the Wii.
As I saw recently few people looking for a Wii in these forums, I though I let them know to check their local sainsburys. Looking at the heat set at -10, I guess I was wrong as most of you seem to think there is a better deal out there at the moment
However I do agree with asusboy, if you are a gamer you want to think about xbox 360 or PS3, but can't get a better entertainment gaming machine to involve the whole family (kids and adults), if you have friends over or play the boxing game to loose pounds of fat, it is much more fun than going to the gym

I can't believe there still in high demand

I know several people who bought them early on and have sold on once the novelty had worn off. Good for young kids or playing with groups of friends though.

But at £179, it's starting to look expensive. Especially with the Xbox360 Arcade being released later this month for $279 (£137). This is the replacement model for the core and includes built in memory unit and wireless controller.

Its part of Nintendo marketing scheme. Supples to meet on demand only no extra stocks. But i seen them in all the shop been as they display a sign "in stock".

Judging by the sales figures, it's not marketting - in under a year the Wii has the best sales of this generation and that's including the 360 which has been out an additional year.

I still have mine and love it.

Currently playing paper mario - good fun
Cant wait for Metroid
Also mario galaxy, mario kart, that fighting game that name escapes me...

I think compared to a PS3 it has much more fun games! Love it.

Still getting a 360 though for the times I want a bit more "hard core" gaming. :D
