Voted cold, just because it's clearance don't make it a good deal - This is an entry level camera now 5mp with rubbish Optical zoom and a tiny LCD display - steer clear! Plenty of decent cameras on offer like the boots Fuji F480 Offer.

It's actually a very nice camera. Very small and has lots of functions. Yes slightly pricey, but we paid £150, 18 months ago. Also 5mp is fine for a4 printing and smaller, you only need more if your printing on like A3 paper.

Sorry, I may have appeared a bit harsh, Just about any other camera around £100 will be better than this nowadays, that was my point.

I've got a 3.2Mp Ixus IIi and it's fantastic!

Had it over 3 years now and it still take brilliant pics, it's more about the quality of the lens and software than the amount of mega pixels... Canon score top marks in both areas

I am fully aware of that but 2.4x Optical zoom is hardly good is it?

A more powerful zoom is not an indication of higher quality.

OK, OK I give up! You cleary are on commission with Viking, this is a ****, overpriced camera by todays standards. It has little optical zoom, tiny 1" LCD and is CLEARANCE stock and over 2 years old!- they cannot shift them!!!

Or

You could buy the latest Figi f480, delivered for little over £80 after Quidco and points, 2.7" LCD, 8.2mp, 4x Zoom (decent 28mm wide angle lens)

You decide!

camera megapixel technology has always been well ahead of mobile phones.

5mp is currently becoming the standard in most mobiles - and for this reason i would not get any camera below 8mp it just isnt worth it!

becoming the standard....how? There are currently three phones in the uk that I know of that are 5mp. And they won't compare to a normal 5mp camera, as they just don't have as good quality lenses. Also why do you need 8MP? 8MP photo's are to be printed at 30 × 40 in. (76 × 102 cm), if your not printing that big then you don't need the quality. a 4MP will do fine for upto A4 paper at standard photo quality.
